    … average

I like the brake lights that attach to the cable so I can manually turn them on without having to worry about it turning on by itself. it has the big LEDs so they are bright but there’s not very many of them. my kit was lacking the brackets to attach it to the frame

    Light stays on

Well I bought two of them they can okay these are a great idea until I got them I bought the first one and the light wouldn’t turn off there’s a light that stays on constantly and drains the battery not all well maybe I did something wrong so I bought another one and the same thing so now I got two of them that drink batteries like crazy so they’re pretty much no no good to me cuz I can’t keep replacing batteries everyday so but it is a good idea if they can get it ironed out where it works properly

cannot remove the screw for batteries

I purchased this for the horn. the screw for the batteries is like welded in. useless

    Quality plastic

Well I bought them 2 times ad the first set were very poorly made and very easy to brake and take it from me not to buy it or you’ll be wasting your money and there’s better ones on here you just have to look good and hard and you’ll find what your looking for

    brake switch problem.

I like these lights from this company but the brake switch was broken out of the box.

    Way better than wireless

Cable could be longer. E-Lux tahoe only gets to just above my water bottle holder, doesn’t interfere, and I can still hold a Kleen Kanteen metal bottle. I thought I could just splice in some speaker wire, no you can’t just cut the cable, it has 6 wires inside, I’ll need a Cat6 RJ45 and I don’t have the crimper anymore, so I just deal with it down by the water bottle. Love that I don’t have to look back and verify it’s working like the wireless ones and the beep-beep when the turn signal is on is a plus so I don’t forget it’s blinking. The red tail light with lots of patterns (too many) is good for night visibility. Did not use the brake light as e-lux already has this. Did not use the horn as I have a tring-tring manual bell. Mounting requires lots of creativity with the OEM mounts and get lots of zip ties. I have been through 2 sets of wireless and they are a constant ? whether the rear ones are really one or not. I keep the front ones wireless even though I bought an extra one of these wired ones for the front. Wireless front are easily viewed and are closer to the switch so they are more reliable. Highly, highly recommend these for the rear. I feel a lot safer with these back there.

    Worth it

Have been using this on my diy ebike for over a year. I wanted a wired brake light/turn signal and tried this one. The brake and signal lights are bright enough for day and night use. I use the ebike a few times a week in warm weather, and haven’t had to replace the batteries yet, which seems like good battery life. The turn signal clicks when on and it also flashes by the switch to let you know. Slightly different click tones for left and right. I found the flashing lights on the switch when the signals are on to be surprisingly bright, so i covered them with black duct tape and they still shine through fine. There is also a small light that indicates when the brake light is on that isn’t nearly as bright, but is still somewhat visible in daylight. The “horn” makes various tones that you can switch through, none if which sound like a car or scooter horn, all are high pitched sounds. But, it’s plenty loud. The brakelight switch is a little different than others I have purchased, as it is threaded onto the cable(you will have to disconnect the cable from the brake to install) instead of just mounted onto it. I found this switch took some adjusting to get it into a sweet spot where the brake light stays on steady every time i pull the lever, but since i found the spot, it’s been solid. At one point about 6 months in the brake light started getting flickery, and i sprayed a cleaning/protection spray for electrical connectors into the switch body, which cleared that up. Don’t know if this was caused by corrosion, as i would’ve had to remove and disassemble the switch to check, which would’ve been my next step if the spray didn’t work. But, the spray worked.I had some trouble with mounting it where i could easily reach the controls with my thumb due to the larger size of the switch console and the placement of the brake handle and derailleur control, and i have to really stretch my hand to reach it. It can be difficult to get the turn signal switch back to the off position without going too far and switching on the other turn signal. The inside of the lens is open, so the individual lights light up the whole lens. I put some aluminum tape between the screw posts to create an opaque barrier, with some electrical tape on the top in case of contact with the circuit board(see photo).I find all these problems to be within my acceptable range. It certainly does the job i wanted it to and has sat outside (but, under a carport) in all weather and continued to work, so i recommend it.(Update)Got around to changing the batteries today, 14 months after originally installing. They were still working but i figured it was time. Lights are a little brighter with the fresh cells. No rust, corrosion, or accumulated moisture inside the unit.
