Derailer and brakes fixed!
Why spend so much money on a bike then throw it out when it gets broken. My kiddo crashed on his 12spd mountain bike. Jammed brakes, jammed derailer and frayed cables. I had to follow a video to learn how to fix them. This kit gave me everything I needed to get the job done. I can honestly say, if the parts identification had been part of the kit, I would have probably finished the job a lot quicker. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars; no identification list.

Bike mechanic tool…
This tool is a must if you work on bike brakes… It makes smooth cuts easily unlike regular wire cutters and it’s a good deal for the tool alone but it comes with brake and shifer cables and hardware also!

Impressive cutters
To be honest I don’t know that much about bike cables, so I’m not too sure if the cable itself is of good quality or not, but it seems to be working just fine. The cable housing is nice and has multiple layers inside. I found this fairly easy to install and it was plenty long enough for my needs although my bike is fairly small.The wire cutters are where this kit shines. It cut through the cable and cable housing very easily, although I did have to pick out a little plastic that had stretched across the opening. After that I used it to make 8+ cuts of thicker harder metal (steel I would assume) for my fenders. Despite being pushed to the edge of their capability, the wire cutters had no scratches or pits. I tried cutting through cable again after and it still cut like butter. They are worth the price alone

Perfect for my use but the cutter does not crimp furrels.
I am using this for an art project and it works great. My only complaint is the cutters do not have a built in crimper for the swage fittings but it wasn’t advertised with one so I won’t dock any stars.
