A year ago I purchased this same mirror at the bike shop and another brand from Walmart. Yesterday my bike fell and broke the Walmart mirror. Naturally I came to Amazon and sure enough here is the same mirror I purchased from the bike shop – for less money and I didn’t have to drive 12 miles to the bike shop.This mirror is fully adjustable for all kinds of positions and can be mounted on either side of the handle bar. The hardest part of installation was getting the plug out of the handle bar so I can install this mirror.FYI – VERY IMPORTANT: When starting each of the 3 screws on this mirror they went in so far then it starting to feel like the threads were stripping. This was not the case with the first mirror. The threads were not stripping just a little hard to turn, but the end result is nothing moves after the mirror is assembled and on your bike.It is best to have the 3 screws ALMOST tight until you ride your bike and have the adjustment made for your best view; then finish tightening the screws.My assessment is that this is the best mirror I have ever had over all the 60 plus years of my bike riding. And with Prime you will not beat the price, durability and quality of this mirror. – Bobby Blue

I have never had a mirror, but after installing this and using it I’m not sure if I could ride without one! It’s so nice not having to turn my head all the time. The view is very clear and wide, it’s easy to adjust and it stays put.Installation was simple. I was a little skeptical about cutting the end of my grip, but after doing it I have no regrets at all. I used an X-Acto knife to get a nice clean cut following the edge of the handlebar. Any sharp knife, razor blade or even a sharp box cutter will do. Just be careful not to cut yourself! I found it very easy to install and actually fit very snug with the smaller insert. It comes with two handlebar inserts, both having the ability to adjust to various diameters. It essentially expands as you tighten the hex screw on the outside of the mirror. Others have mentioned that duct tape helps with any slipping; I have not had to use any yet, but I can easily see how it can help if it doesn’t grip to the inside of your handle bars. They also sell spare mirror replacements in case you break this, which is nice. (It is a convex piece of glass, which is one reason why it’s so clear.)If you don’t want to cut your handlebar grip, you may want to look at helmet mirrors. To me they seem too small, but I have heard some good things about them.

A 5-Star Mirror: You’ll love it.
After buying a bicycle and riding it on the roads for a couple of days, I realized that safe biking requires knowing what’s coming up behind you. So, I set out on a search for a good rear-view mirror. Little did I know that rear-view mirrors are a subject of great controversy among bikers. There are four kinds of R-V mirrors and each has it’s supporters and proponents and detractors. The mirror attaches to your bike helmet and places a tiny mirror just ahead of your eyes so you can glance at it and see what’s behind you. It looks like a weird spaceman contraption sticking out from your helmet.(2) EYEGLASS MIRRORS. The same idea, except it attaches to the leg of your sunglasses, extending a mirror just ahead of your eyes. These come in plastic or metal, depending on the manufacturer.(3) ON-LENS MIRROR. A tiny convex mirror you glue onto the inside of your sunglasses that apparently lets you flick your eye to the left to see what’s behind you.(4) HANDLEBAR MIRRORS. This is the category into which the Mirrcycle fits. With handlebar mirrors if you mount a mirror on the handlebars, it’s likely you’ll be looking at your body rather than the road behind. However, placing the mirror at the end of the handlebars eliminates that problem.I mounted the Mirrycle on my bike in about five minutes. A word of caution: Installing the two long machine screws that hold the mirror and its mounting pieces together took more torque than I thought would be needed. Be careful that you don’t break any of the plastic parts when you install these two screws. I found that holding the plastic pieces tightly as I cranked those two screws down (with the Allen wrench provided) allowed me to put a lot of pressure on the wrench without stressing the plastic parts.Now that it’s mounted, it gives me a perfect view of the road behind me. The mirror is convex and gives me a wide angle of view. The mirror itself is easy to adjust so you always have a clear view of the road behind you.All in all, it’s a 5-star product. Get one. Or two, if you like. They can be mounted on either side of your bike.

Awesome bar end bike mirror!
First of all FORGET EVERYTHING YOU HAVE READ ABOUT PURCHASING NEW SCREWS BECAUSE THE ONES THAT COME WITH IT ARE TIGHT! Yes they are tight and for a reason, they are self tightening screws so that it does not loosen while riding. This is an amazing mirror when installed by the instructions (which by the way mention that the screws will be tight at the end of the install). The only tool required is a hex wrench which is included. Two pieces are included to fit several sizes of bars from 13.75mm to 22.5mm. Mine was only 16.5mm, so the small piece fit fine. I installed it according to the directions and got on the bike to make final adjustments, it was almost perfect to begin with. It does not vibrate while riding like some I have had in the past and gives a nice view behind you. It is a 3″ diameter slightly convex mirror, so not too big not too small. THIS COMPANY “MIRRYCLE” IS BASED IN BOULDER,CO AND THE BOX SAYS THAT THE MIRROR IS MADE IN THE USA!

Just installed on an Aventon Pace 500.3 and it works great on the swept back handlebars. I’m 6 ft one and I had no problem adjusting the mirror angle using their instructions and able to see a wide view of what’s behind me. The mirror does look small but it is convex so you see a wide view. Parts are plastic but they seem very sturdy. I already had the bike fall over once on the side and while everything got moved around, nothing broke. You can buy spare parts from their website so you don’t have to buy an entirely new mirror if you snap something off. The tube mount wedge comes in two sizes. I used the small one.

Best bike mirror I have found
I have used this mirror on two bicycles. I’ve tried others but I have found this one to be the best, so far. It somes with allen wrenches to put it together which is good. It requires a little finger strength to assemble, but it’s not too bad. If assembled and adjusted correctly it doesn’t go out of adjustment unless intentionally moved. I like that the mirror itself can be folded in when not in use making it a little less likely to be bumped and broken.I would buy it again.

Provide a Clear, Undistorted View Behind from my Riding Position. Looked Better Than Anticipated on the Bikes
I had my doubts about this mirror, in terms of its effectiveness, quality and appearance. Originally, I was going to mount 2 on my hybrid (Giant Comax 1). However, after testing it out, I discovered there was no need for two mirrors on one bike. So I mounted the other one on my Giant ToughRoad SLR 1. While not my primary concern, I was worried they would look a bit goofy. However, once mounted and not specifically focused on, they blended in well on both bikes, although more so on the ToughRoad (which is more mountain bike in appearance). These were very easy to assemble on the bike. As the instructions noted, the 2 screws connecting the adjustment points fit very tightly into their brass fittings. Screwing them in produced sounds suitable for a door closing in a horror movie. But there is a good reason for this: the set-up allows the mirror to stay firmly in position when riding, yet allow for adjustment without loosening the screws. Once properly adjusted, the slightly convex lens provided a wide, clear view of the area behind me. Although the convex shape necessarily causes images to be smaller (and appear further away), the effect is very slight. I could easily assess how close someone, or something, was behind me. I took the ToughRoad on root-roughed paths and dirt trails and the mirror did not move out of place at all. If you find yourself frequently looking over your shoulder or being snuck up on, I definitely recommend this mirror. They will go on either side, but you only need one.

Best hanlebar mirror.
Can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this yet. I love this mirror, had it on my bike since Feb 2016 (now Jun ’17, so 16ish months) and it still works great. It makes my handle bars a little wider but I have folded this down and around to fit in snug places quiet a bit and haven’t had trouble re-adjusting it when I get back to peddling. I don’t like mirrors that hook to the helmet and this is probably the best one for handlebars in existence.March 2018 update: It broke, and I’m in Mexico, which sucks. So I have been going between cars at lights in the cities in Mexico and it has gotten knocked around a few times. I believe the first good hit was in Tampico. It broke but I think water corroded it and weakened it. The bolts also aren’t stainless, if I bought one in the US again I would search for the bolts in stainless. I am buying another one though, I found an American here in Tuxtla who is having a sister fly in next week for a visit and she got one and is bringing it. It really is an amazing mirror and I highly recommend it. However, if you’re touring buy a new one and keep the one you’ve had for a while as a spare. I’m entering Guatemala in a week of riding and I hear a mirror is a must there!
