Don’t tighten on
The shifters work as they should, but don’t tighten down to fit my handlebar. I’ve taped them down and it works, I’m just worried they will come loose after an impact or too much pressure from my hands.

Not the best, but the only 8-speed shifters I could find.
These were the only 8-speed shifter I could find to replace the Sora shifters I had worn out and I did not want to change the whole drivetrain. The seem slow to respond and while I had them installed by my mechanic, the levers are the opposite in terms of shifting up and down the cassette than my previous pair and what is on my other bikes.

Worth the extra dollars
This was the first pair of replacement “brifters” I’ve installed myself. And even without directions it was simple. Came with new brake cables and cable draws which was really nice after mine where very sun bleached and brittle. Over all took me about 2 hours taking my time and watching a movie in the background. Fun project that I highly suggest for anyone with mechanical skill to give a try.I opted for these over the newShift based off of reputation of microShift. Trek doesn’t exactly use these as replacements if they are not of high enough quality to put on their super nice bikes. These are very solid and well made. The rubber is sticky and textured and the brake levelers are crisp. Shifting is smooth and there’s a tim click ok the front derailer.
