Frustrating to Install and Underwhelming in Use
These brakes look fine at first but using them shows the flaws. The finish feels cheap and the hardware doesn’t line up as cleanly as it should, which makes installation drag on longer than expected. Once mounted they work, but the stopping power feels uneven and takes more adjusting than it should to get right. The levers also feel a little stiff, almost like they need breaking in. For the low price they might be tempting, but the overall experience is more hassle than it is worth.

These are only for bicycles/scooters that have the brakes on the left side of the device. I needed calipers for right side brakes so these didn’t work for me.

So far I’m in favor of purchase
This is a really hard review.I have a 1500 w direct drive pretty much built up fat tire 26-in e-bike that came with your standard piece of crap mechanical brakes.I increase the rotors from 160s to 203 in the front 180 in the back and the single piston or actuator brakes were running through pads and I was constantly adjusting and they were inadequate for stopping a 90 lb bike with 210 lb of rider let alone cargo of an added 35 lb at times.I did not want to go to the non-factory self-installed hydraulic brakes for multiple reasons One the hassle or chance of doing it wrong maintenance and difference in stopping between extremely cold weather and extremely hot weather due to the viscosity change of the mineral oil. I ride 365 days a year in the Chicago land area all four seasons.These brakes are loud ( trying out different pads) most definitely a different experience than the old mechanicals that I had, But far gripper and has definitely shortened my stopping distance by at least a third and I am for the first time able to lock up the rear wheel.Finding dual mechanical brakes is hard and I can see why I will see if I can upgrade them if I can find a better brand but for now these are suiting the purpose I will try to update this review as I continued to go through different types of pads.

Excellent dual piston gripping power
Wonderful dual piston calipers I wish I would have known about these years ago. The Price Is Right on and I happily threw the vile objects of disgust, single piston units, in a direction I no longer recall. These calipers are really nice and stop my heavy ebike beautifully. It did take a little bit of work to get them to the maximum pad coverage on the rotor with some shims but I got it done and it’s wonderful.

These are missing a the rotary adjustments on the side, but otherwise look very similar to the old style BB-7sThe good part is they are nicer in person than they look on the ad. I am a bit worried about adjustability when mounting this. You might have to shim it to the center of your disk, it does not have the adjustability of the previous generation let alone the current BB-7It is rather heavy, about 2x more than the BB7 at 1 lb for both.The good part about these things are they are 6x cheaper. you can literally throw them on any bike you have regardless of price – you wont cry yourself into the bike poor house.
