Great Pump Head Replacement Chuck!
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this pump head chuck but took my chances with it. It is very well made and does the job very well. I am very happy with it and happier than I was with the original pump head chuck. I use it daily, it grabs the valve stem securely, quick and easy to use! Very happy with this item. By the way it does hook on to the pump base as the old pump head chuck did however, it isn’t super secure. meaning it will pop off. I use a Velcro tether to hold it to pump.

Lezyne’s most versatile head
I got a Lezyne pump a couple of years ago. I like the pump itself, but the head that came with the pump was a great source of frustration. It was hard to get onto some Presta valves, and did not stay on well. Shrader valves, which I have a few of in my garage on my kids’ bikes, were even worse. The default chuck had to be threaded onto the valve, and it does not thread easily, making it hard to get it on enough to open the valve. I bought the ABS-1 pro head. It requires threading onto both Presta and Shrader, but it does thread on more easily, and is relatively quick to switch. The problem comes with Presta valves with removable valve cores. The gasket at the mouth of the chuck provides sufficient friction to unthread some removable valve cores, resulting in the freshly inflated tire deflating. I eventually bought this head. Is is by far the easiest of the three to use, especially for situations that require frequent switching between Presta and Shrader. Oddly this head seems more budget-oriented and is thus made of plastic rather than metal like the other two heads. If Lezyne made a nice metal one I’d consider buying it. As it is, I recommend this head as the default for all Lezyne pumps, even though it’s still not the best head I’ve ever used. Lezyne makes some really nice pumps, but seems to have dropped the ball a bit on head design, in my opinion.

The plastic lever on the pump head of the new floor pump I purchase broke on the first attempt to tighten the pump head onto the tube stem. At that time I believed that this left my pump as purely a throw away.So, I went on Amazon to look for a floor pump which either had a metal pump head or a metal lever. During this search I came upon replaceable pump heads! Most of the ones displayed offered pump heads with plastic levels, but as I continued the search I came upon the “LEZYNE (never heard of them) Dual Valve Bicycle Pump head” and it comes with a metal lever.It installs super easy onto the tubing from the pump and the metal lever didn’t snap off on several test pumps. So..; I’m now I’m really “Pumped” about the purchase of the”LEZYNE Dual Valve Bicycle Pump head”

Switch to this – don’t think twice
I purchased this for my Lezyne pump because the flip thread chuck that came with my model had the tendency to unscrew removable valve cores. Now that most tubes come with removable valve cores this is a constant problem. This new head – while by no means elegant looking – is solid and it is faster to flip the lever on this than to thread on the original chuck. Glad I found it and made the switch – and I think Lezyne should make this the standard head.Bonus – I have kids with bikes with Schrader valves – now it’s even easy to fill both Presta and Schrader tubes.

LEZYNE dual action – great improvement
This LEZYNE dual action pump head is the perfect compliment to my LEZYNE high pressure pump. The construction is well made and it functions perfectly for any valve stem. The installation is super simple and easy to change the old pump head out for this dual action one. The PSI is very accurate and I am confident that this will last forever. Great value for money in my opinion.

Body can crack around the pivot pin
This is the second time I’ve purchased this pump chuck (head). The body of the first one that I bought 3 years ago cracked around the point where it holds the pivot pin for the lever. Then the pin won’t stay where it belongs as you close the lever, and the head won’t tighten onto the valve.I bought the same one again because otherwise it is good and it fits my floor pump. I prefer the lever-style head because in the past I’ve had problems with screw-on heads unscrewing the valve from the tube.

Seems well made, bought to use with another brand pump that was missing the head. Needed to enlarge the opening to fit the hose, once done i was able make use of it. Added some silicone to the lever to make fitting to the presta valve easier to lock on. To me a good value.
