It seems like a great little light for the money
Got this with my Lazer Blade helmet for road cycling. It seems like a great little light for the money. I wouldn’t rely on it as my sole source for rear lighting, but it is a great little light in addition to the main light clipped to my saddle wedge. You can never have too many lights for visibility. Not sure if this is a con, but it seems like the light should be oriented more downward for optimal visibility. When the helmet is level, the brightest part of the light points upward about 30 degrees. But I think with the built-in optics, you get some visibility throughout the device. Even still, this little light tucks away nicely inside the helmet and has almost no weight. For the low price, I’d recommend it as an addition to another main source for rear visibility.

Good thought but mediocre implementation
First – This is just the mudcap, not the light. Reviews seem to be about both although you have to buy the light separately.As a system though, once you buy both parts, it’s a neat idea but it doesn’t work all that well. The way the light is held isn’t very sturdy so when trying to push the button to turn it off/on I often wind up pushing the light part into the helmet and it’s difficult to get it back into place. Also the light doesn’t have the best visibility. It’s decent as a backup/second light but I wouldn’t use it as my only rear light. It is perfect for those rides that run longer than expected that you neglected to bring a rear light for so you’re not completely invisible in the dark. I’d really like to see a version 2 of this that works better since it’s such a great idea.

Caution, this accessory does not come with the LED light which is one of the main reasons why I bought it. Dissapointed.Had to re-buy this accessory somewhere else for the LED light
