I ordered the King Kong clamp bracket to mount a headlight or camera to the handlebar of my mountain bike. The package arrived in a yellow bubble mailer and included the clamp mount and an Allen wrench.One thing buyers should know is the product images and description may seem misleading. The listing may suggest additional mounts are included, but no 2-prong light mount or attachment hardware is included. What you receive is only the clamp itself.The product is advertised to fit 1″ to 1.3″ tubes or bars with a non-slip rubber pad. In use, the actual fitment range is much more limited due to the way the clamp opens and closes. Without additional spacers or bushings, it only fit a round tube of approximately 1.13″ diameter or an oval-shaped tube around 1.375″ wide. As supplied, I could only mount it to my seat extension bar, which pretty much limited its use.Fortunately, I had a rubber clamp bushing from another product that allowed me to install it on my handlebar but required some force to get the screws started and fully close the clamp. During installation and adjustment, I also noticed that the powder coating scratched and chipped fairly easily, and the rubber pad shifted out of position because it appears to be attached only with adhesive.Once installed, I was able to utilize the clamp with accessories I already owned and used it as a phone holder, speaker, or light. Considering the $9.99 listed price, I expected better fitment options and more complete mounting hardware. Including multiple clamp bushings and at least a 1/4″-20 threaded three-prong adapter would have added much more value and justified the cost.Overall, the clamp can work if you already have compatible accessories and additional hardware, but buyers should carefully verify the dimensions and understand that extra parts may be needed for many common handlebar applications.

Well constructed but missing parts
Very nice all aluminum mount with a solid three prong GoPro style receiver. Receiver includes a low profile bolt and nut. All very good quality. Unfortunately the quarter twist mount is missing from this shipment..

Great product. I like the powder coated stainless steel construction and lightweight design. The unit comes with an Allen Wrench and that controls the handlebar mount (two screws) and the camera/light mount. The reason I removed a star is that like what others stated here, unlike what’s in the picture, it doesn’t come with that extra camera mount plate. Personally, I didn’t care, but the description is deceptive. See my images to see everything it comes with… Allan Wrench and unit.What I do like is the rubber liner inside that protects your bike frame and also prevents shifting and moving. Note that since it’s metal and not plastic, the edges have a slight sharpness to them, and the camera/flashlight mount is far more rigid than a plastic plate, which means it can start to wear on your plastic mounted unit components, and also takes an extra push to properly secure as the metal channels are rigid.Lightweight, well made… great quality!

Great way to get ‘gopro’ style mount added to bike
This is a nice add on to allow for fitting a gopro or for me and extra light ! I have a couple lights that mount with a gopro style mount, this allows for more than my typical on my ‘out front’ mount for my GPS. This can go on my handle bars (above or under mount ) and or any other round tube on the frame if you want to do under stem, round fork mount, etc. Easy on/off – also like that the inside of the mount has a bit of soft grippy stuff to protect frame as well as provide a secure non-slip mount. Nice value and fairly light weight. I suppose you could use this on a boat bimini cover or golf cart to add lights , camera or speakers

I really like the KING KONG bike light mount for its aluminum alloy material in a black color scheme as it matches my Tern X-22 colors. Right off the bat, I can tell you the diameter of the mount is big for my bike’s handlebar tubing. I plan on getting padded inserts to protect the finish and to create a snug fit post purchase. I like the idea of the mount having a dedicated bracket for my two GoPro action cameras. You can mount the GoPros either over or under the handlebar for different looks and imagery. The kit comes with an allen wrench.The mount is easy to loosen and placed onto the handlebar. If you have the correct diameter tubing on the handlebar, you are set to use this immediately. Affordable and a great mount location for a GoPro action camera.Recommended and easy to retrofit onto most handlebars.
