Cuts Kevlar clean.
Made up three sets of lines and changed blades after second set.The tool made perfect cuts on Kevlar lines; but as blade dulls it leaves a thread or two of braiding, (that can snipped off with scissors).Although I wish the blades lasted a while longer: they include a replacement blade in the box; so you are ready to do your first blade change.For the price I think it’s a good deal and the tool is well made and should last a long time for home mechanics.

Works exactly as advertised, making a perfect cut at a 90 degree angle. Also, it takes regular x acto blades so when you run out of the handful that came with it replacements will be easy to find. Highly recommended as brakes are somewhat important in mountain biking.

Nice cutter. Get one to make sure the ends are perfect. Blade replacement is easy too.
Works well. Get it to cut brake hose. The end, being clean and square is important. Also keep an eye on the sharpness of the blade.It’s great that it’s an X-Acto blade. They are available from most craft stores and X-Acto even makes a titanium blade which should prolong the need to change blades as often.It is mostly plastic, so be careful throwing it in the toolbox, but it’s a great idea to get a cutter to make sure the ends are perfect. If you screw up the ends, the install may fail.Be safe out there!

I tried using my Pedro’s wire cutters at first, and as amazing as those are, they were the wrong tool for the job. These hose cutters are the right tool. Perfect cuts every time and the blade is replaceable making this tool useful for years to come. This tool is well worth the money.
