    いいと思います

    今までより楽にチューニングできました。が、使っている時ポロッと外れてしまうことがあったので、星4つにさせて頂きました。

    Works well IF used properly

As a bicycle mechanic I COULD do the adjustments by hand, but this makes it easier. Works as it says IF you use it properly. One suggestion I have is if your using this on a bike where the tire is mounted deflate it enough so the top lip of the tool can rest on the rim as it should. I bet more than half those that complain don’t have it seated on the rim properly. The rest that are complaining this don’t work are only trying to adjust to get rid of squeal. They either are not trying or don’t know that there are more than one reason for squealing brakes. Others include something as simple as cleaning the braking surface AND the pads with some alcohol on a rag or something. You’d be surprised how much crud you get off a braking and pads surface even if it looks good. Second is the surface of the braking pad might have been worn smooth. Try roughing it up with a little 600 grit sandpaper. If they still squeal then replace the pads.

Works well but only for certain types of brakes

Had a pair of these for a few weeks before someone mistook them for packaging material and threw them away. They work quite well but only for brakes where the pivot point is ABOVE the rim (ie those usually installed on drop-bar roadbikes). If you try to use them with V-brakes or cantilever brakes the pads will be positioned far too low.

    Align V-brakes with ease!

V-brakes, or linear pull brakes, are very annoying to align due to the multiple degrees of freedom and the tendency for the pads to twist out of alignment when tightening. And then it’s easy (for me) to forget which direction you are supposed to toe-in.This removes that. Just align the lip to the top of the rim, rotate into place, press the pad down, and tighten the mounting screw. Done! No more brake squealing!I also don’t know why so many people have fitment issues. They worked perfectly with my wheel and brake setup.

Great for home bike mechanics to achieve perfect for-in.

These spacers worked great to eliminate squeal, the 3 or 4 times I have used them so far. Before buying these, I had always eyeballed the brake pad toe-in, and sometimes it was fine, sometimes not. These may not be used thst often, but when they are needed, they make the toe-in much easier and hassle free.

    Terrific and convenient tool.

Sets all planes at once including toe in. Easy and quick to use. Perfect settings.

You need to modify it in order to get it to work. Nice idea but poorly executed.

The back side has little tabs sticking out that you have to shave off so that the shim can lay flat against the rim because these tabs touch the tire, not the rim. Also, the top surface is almost square shaped, when it should be an arc shape (shaped like the rim). The fact that the top is square means I’ll have to take a bandsaw to it to cut the arc shape into it myself because again, it won’t lay flat against the rim because the top section makes contact with the tire in various places. If you were to scoot the entire shim down a half inch or so, it would make good contact with the rim, but by then your pads will be hanging half off the rim into the spoke area. Nice idea but poorly executed.

Work perfectly but very poor instructions

These work perfectly to help adjust rim brake pads setting the correct angle for toe-in so your brakes are more effective and don’t squeal. The instructions were very poor however, so do searches online for the correct way to adjust brakes and the correct direction for the toe-in adjustment based on wheel rotation. There are visual diagrams out there that help get it right.

    It is brilliant

I am a experienced biker and fix my bike for most of the time. However, i got very annoying noise recently for my bora ultra. I tried so many methods but can’t eliminate the noise. I found a thread mentioned that it is the problem of EE brake with Bora ultra and the solution is this pad. Maybe EE brake needs precise alignment with the rim and this I don’t have this problem with Sram S900 brake

Seems not applicable for regular v-brakes pad on 26″ wheels

The tuner itself looks good. Unfortunately, according to the picture 7 of the user manual and practical experience, it is not applicable for adjusting regular V-brake pads on 26″ wheels. The first problem is that the tool has too thick spacer on top. A regular v-brake pad has a bevel at the top. So as a result a brake pad is mounted too low and goes at braking outside of a rim.Second problem is the overall thickness of the tool – the final distance between the brake pad and the rim is too big that leads to a too long travel of a brake handle.

    I want to love these…

I really want to love these, as brake adjustment, especially V-brakes, is at times very challenging to me.I have trouble keeping them in place while I adjust, so much so that I do one side at a time. They seem to work better with the tire off the rim, so that the lip on the top of the item is seated on the top of the rim. Even so I often have to eyeball the pads to get them correct.I will keep trying to make them work without issues, and will get back to you all.
