My kid is on the small side of 3T/4T and ordered the large size on this and fit pretty well. The tight stretchy fabric accommodates smaller kiddos pretty good so I’d probably size up. The padding is not hard plastic so it will not promote sliding like other kid pads. This is more like abrasion protection.One thing I’m not a huge fan of is that the long side of the sleeves are oriented toward the body so you really have to slide them up the limb. Then it’s more of a hassle to remove, especially if these are running a bit tight on your kid. It’s not all that user friendly and quick. So the kiddo will have to have some patience before heading out on their bike/scooter/etc.But this is a trusted brand and your kids only get one set of limbs. I’ve never regretted spending money on safety gear, and certainly would not regret this purchase. Overall, this works well, and aside from moderate difficulty in putting it on, these are high quality and so gets 5 stars.

Great addition to a toddlers bike riding gear
A MUST for little riders! Our little one is 3 years old. He is learning how to ride a pedal bike, without the pedals, as it has brakes and is a step above a typical strider as we hope to transition him to a pedal bike next. These pads are the perfect addition for safety. They fit true to size, they are easy to slip on and off, they are comfortable (no complaints from a 3 year old about wearing these), and the stretchy material seems durable. So happy to have these!

Run SMALL!
Runs SMALL! I understand that they need to be tight to stay up, but my 2.5 yo complains on how tight they are on her thighs. We sized up to L/XLShe will tolerate it if I roll the top down but I don’t know if they’d stay put if she was moving (on her strider etc), she is currently wearing them on her shotgun seat to get her used to them

Good G-Form quality. They definitely run a little tight. The Large fit my lean 5 year old perfectly but I’m imagining in a few months they may be too small. Great for MTB or moto, fit nicely under clothes without snagging up

My 2.5 is quite skinny. But the pads are way to small anyway. I managed to put them on his elbows even though it was pretty hard. But I could not for the life of mine put them on his knees

Perfect protectors for the littlest bikers!
Our tall 3 year old wears size L/XL and they fit great (also under long pants and sweaters). No more scratches and bruises after falling and he demands to put them on before hitting the pump track now.Definitely won‘t last him until he‘s 5 but still totally worth the investment.
