If you have a 1×11 or 1×12 and your looking for a chain cover Avoid this product. It is too small and it does not cover the back side, and you do have to remove your pedals to install it.

Not sure why this bag is so small. Not worth the effort to contort the shifter in back, the opening for the pedals is too small and it’s useless as a dirt / dust cover as the back is totally open. I realize it’s not marketed as a dirt cover so that was more of a hope on my part.

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A MOUNTAIN BIKE!!!
This does not fit on modern mountain bikes. Maybe it fit a 26″ bike with a 9-speed cassette. But most of us have 11 or 12 speed cassettes. This simply does not fit. Don’t waste your time with this.

More or less useless for bike packing. Better off using cheap pipe insulation
I bought this for the purpose of packing my bike with the Evoc Travel Bag Pro (which, for the record, is definitely a 5 star bag) and to keep the chain from slapping around. The design leaves much to be desired. It’ll function alright to protect the chain ring, but that’s about it. Using cheap pipe insulation that you can buy at any hardware store will do a better job of protecting the stays from slapping chain (I usually just place both sides of the chain within a foot long section of the insulation).
