Good match for China – sourced ebike hub motors.
I had converted a Trek DS8.3 to an eBike with a 1500 watt rear hub kit from China. The 7 speed freewheel that came with the CSC hub didn’t index properly with the Acera rear derailleur on this Trek bike, but the biggest issue was that I had a Class 3+ eBike with gearing (14 tooth smallest) that didn’t go high enough for pedal assist at 30 to 32 mph. This freewheel had the exact same thread for hub attachment as my CSC – supplied 7 – speed freewheel. With the right removal tool purchased from a local bike shop, the remove and replace went smoothly. My Acera derailleur indexes and aligns well with it throughout the gear range. Freewheeling is smooth, and the product feels well – made. Finish is attractive and seems durable.

Good replacement, good option for a wider gear range
Extend the range of your easy gears from the 14-28 Shimano standard, and pick up some speed too! 11-32 rear gearing is going to allow you to leave the front derailleur alone a little bit longer, and find more comfortable pedaling with a wider range of gearing. I actually ran an 11-32 on a one-by on the road with a 40t chainring, and a MTB set-up with a 28t chainring. For one-by, it was entirely adequate for normal riding. The con side, it spreads your range at a more progressive rate. This means that if you like a more consistent cadence, the spread of this gearset will make it a little harder to match speed to cadence. Always a little too high, or a little too low. A little conditioning will usually get you used to your new available gearing options. This is my 3rd DNP freewheel, I did explode one a few years ago, but at this price, it wasn’t too painful to replace. If you’re thinking about it, you’ll be happy if you just try it.

Worth the extra few bucks
This seems to be about as high quality a product as can be purchased (for an 8 speed). Go for it.

Good quality replacement
I replaced my cassette system with this magazine. It was a drop-in replacement for my old system. After riding with it, it performs flawlessly.

Great freewheel…..at first.
When I first installed this freewheel, it ran perfectly and I was very happy with it. But, after only 200 miles, the paws stripped out as they will not take the added torque of an E Bike.

Not perfect out of the box, will update if things improve or worsen.
A tentative 3 star review. Several of the cogs feel rough to pedal when under load. The higher gears seemed to get better with use, we will see if this improves as I use and break in each cog. I commute on this bike, so I will probably put a few hundred miles on it quickly. Hopefully it smooths out. If so, I will up it to 4 stars, but until then I will be putting it through it’s paces and trying to smooth it out.Shifts wonderfully, the 11t cog achieves amazing speed, and with a few tweaks to my 1×7 bike, I was able to convert it to 1×8, although the clearance on this cassette caused some issues with chain rub on a few bolts. It looks ok, but I’m not a fan of the mirror finish, as it shows dirt really easily, but this is the only freewheel I’ve found with an 11t cog. As stated earlier, there is a lot of noise from the chain engaging with the teeth, and the pawls are really loud, but not unbearably so.The gear ratios are great for an average performance 350 watt ebike and ensures that you still get a workout even at high speed with pedal assist, and the low gear is great for climbing. I like the progressive gear ratio change, rather than the sudden jump you get on shimano mega-ranges. The bearing looks far more substantial and precise than shimano’s offerings. We’ll see if the cogs get smoother with use.

Perfect Fit for a Engwe Engine Pro
This Flywheel should be standard on The Engwe Engine Pro and any other EBike that you expect to be able to pedal over 18 MPH. Even though it’s only 2 teeth smaller 11/32 it allows you to keep up with the Pedal Assist way past 20 MPH.
