Extra rubber on the inside is great!
Full disclosure: I bought this for my commuter bike. The grips are great. When Im ripping through the mean streets of LA, I have a solid grip on the handlebars. However, sometimes my hands get sore so I change position on the grips by using the inner vertical rubber things with my pointer finger and thumb only. That is very comfortable but lessens my grip. Kinda makes me wish I bought some grips that were completely covered with those vertical rubber things.

Best grips out there
I got these because my friend had them on his bike, and now I wonder how I rode without them. They are by far the most comfortable but yet aggressive grip I have had on my mountain bike and enjoy riding that much more because of them.

Well it’s time for the yearly update of grips. Still haven’t found anything that lasts more than a year, but these by far have been the most comfortable. Now Amazon needs to sell the refills only, and I’ll be all set.

Comfortable, durable, and GRIP
These are the only grips I use anymore on my mountain bikes, they’re amazing. I ride with gloves and these grips are like glue, zero risk of slipping, that’s what I want. Still very comfortable and soft too. I don’t understand the reviews that say they aren’t durable, there must have been a bad batch. I’ve ridden with mine for years and they’re hardly worn. Go for the thick version!
I’ve always used DMR death grips but in thr skinny version. I decided to try the thick version and wow 👌🏽 wayy better. My hands do not get as tired from a day of riding.
