Even better than my old Cygolite Metro 550
I’m a mostly Cygolite fan. I’ve found their products to be usually well designed, very functional and robust. When my old Cygolite Metro 550’s battery died I figured I’d look for another. As a road cyclist, I want to be seen. So very bright strobes both front and rear (red tail light) are helpful. This thing is bright and noticeable In “DayLightning” mode – drivers clearly see it during the day. And then there are other modulated modes (brief interruptions to an otherwise steady illumination) that are better at night and dusk (the strobe is way too strong for night/dusk use). They’ve added a few other features, like a “lock” to prevent the light from being turned on accidentally while being carried in a bag with other items. I have not tested the longevity of the charge. My rides are typically during the day and don’t last much longer than 2 hours. The “DayLightning” mode is rated for 14 hours! The other mode I use in winter, when riding in the evening or dark, “SteadyPulse” is rated at 3:45 hrs. I’m looking forward to upgrading my Hotshot red rear tail-light when that one dies…. Keep up the good work Cygolite!

An impressive light but battery life can be improved
It is bright and easy to install. I love it. I could be wrong but I think battery life at its brightest mode isn’t that good. Again, maybe any better uptime of battery charge isn’t possible or hard to achieve at a compact size like this. I am not sure. This is my second bike light and I love it. Overall, it is a decent light.

I just got the light an my initial impression is that it’s excellent. I purchased the 1200 lumen model and it really lights up the road nicely. I can see all the imperfections in the road clearly. It seems to be very well built although for the price one would expect some form of alloy metal. I’m not sure how long the charge lasts, but as long as it last me one to two rides, I’m satisfied. Overall, I found it to be a good investment for nighttime escooting. If it craps out in the next few weeks, I’ll be sure to come back and update my review.

Good Light But Bad Charge Duration
Great light for brightness and mounting. Being in NYC it easily is removed and not at risk to be stolen. The problem is the very short charge life of only a few hours. I have had two instances where the charge did not last the duration of a 20 mile ride!I will be returning this to Amazon.

One of the best bike lights out there. We often go on night rides and this keeps us seen all the time. Battery life is great. This is my second light and I’m sticking to this brand.

Buyer beware
The item packaging was opened. The carton it came in was torn and the seal broken. The mounting clamp has marks on the interior showing signs of having been mounted. Not sure how “used” it is, but it’s clearly not in new condition.
