Careful not to destroy your $800 handlebar

The Good: Seems to be built solid and the manufacturing quality is good visually. And larger bike computers like Garmin 1040 fit on it.The Bad: If I wasn’t careful this could cause the threads on the handlebar to be striped. the tolerances are way off on the holes so it pulls on the bolts when tightening and the bolt goes in at an angle. Made the holes on the mount larger with a 1/4″ drill bit to fix the problem.

Works great but need to use their hex screw for a GoPro

I can’t help but think this is designed upside down, or maybe there’s something weird about my Chinese knockoff Alanera bars?It works and mounts sturdily, but the inset designed to fit a screw is on the top, when the screws come in from the bottom? Just seems off. And if you remove the Garmin mount side and switch that around to the other side, then it wouldn’t be perfect either since there’s a slight inset for the Garmin mount to fit into. That being said, I can totally ignore that since it’s under my bars anyway. The reason I’ve got one star taken off because the GoPro mount doesn’t work with a standard thumbscrew, it only works with their hex screw. With a standard GoPro thumbscrew, the screw is too long; it’s impossible to screw it down tight enough that the GoPro won’t be able to rotate. With the hex screw included with this it’s a few millimeters shorter, so it screws down tightly and holds the GoPro in place. A thumbscrew is preferred, since the thumbscrew lets me quickly swap between a GoPro and a light.

    Unacceptable Design Flaws

The other reviewer is 100% accurate on all points. The design is upside down. The bolt insets face up, not down as they should. Removing and flipping the plastic mount plate is a work around but creates a rigged appearance. Another design flaw is not being able to use the GoPro thumb bolts. It’s unfortunate because the actually material, weight and finish of the mount is good and they could fix these issues easily, but all considered, not a serious part for a high-end bike.
