Works on TRP Spyke
Good replacement for the factory pads on my TRP Spyke. Stopping power seems slightly increased, but that may be my imagination. Since this is just one set, I put it on my front brake since the front is where most of the stopping power is. It’s a slight disappointment that they use a cotter pin for securing the pads in place, rather than the clevis pin on the original Spyke pads. But not a big deal. You can reuse the clevis pin from the old pads. That doesn’t wear out. And on the bright side, a large cotter pin means not having to worry about losing the tiny R-clip TRP used to secure the clevis.

Easy to install, great upgrade over stock resin pads
I got these ceramic/kevlar brake pads for the rear brake on my hardtail mountain bike. They were extremely easy to install and fit perfectly, although a little trickier than the front brakes, as the cotter pin for the rear caliper was harder to reach on my bike. Once the pin is removed, the old pads easily slide out, and the new ones can be installed after pressing the pistons back (only really required if your old pads were worn; in my case, my rear pads weren’t too worn).Once installed, these pads (like any other) have to be bedded in. I rode it around the neighborhood a few times, testing it on some steep downhills and some trails in the woods. These pads are noticeably quieter than the factory resin pads, while offering significantly more stopping power. It used to be hard for me to lock up my rear wheel using the old resin pads, but with these, I can easily lock up my rear wheel due to the sheer stopping power that these pads provide. Upgrading from factory resin pads is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of upgrading one of the most noticeable and important parts of your bike. I will say that an MSRP of $20 is on the higher side, though, as you can get a set of two Tektro P20.11 ceramic pads for around $28. Ultimately, these are excellent brake pads if you are looking for an upgrade over factory installed pads and I would definitely recommend it as I consider brakes one of, if not the most important parts on a bike.
