No matching tool available???
The bottom bracket itself may have been fine, but I couldn’t install it since it doesn’t seem to match any existing tool standards. I could not find a 49mm x 12 notch bottom bracket tool anywhere, and when I reached out to the seller I did not receive a response.I probably should have checked this before ordering, but honestly I just assumed it would be the same as other BSA 30mm bottom brackets. If anyone finds a tool that fits, let me know!

You need the BBT-47 or similar for install/removal, but don’t bother
When the tool to install it is twice as much as the bottom bracket itself I should have known it wouldn’t be worth it. After about 10 rides the bb knocks and is very angry. For those willing to risk it know you need the Park Tool BBT-47 for this bb.I tried the BBT-35 and it was too small to fit on this bottom bracket.

good luck finding an installation tool
quality is OK on the bottom bracket – but good luck finding a tool. The actual OD of the BB shell is 48.5mm; there are tools at Amazon that show 48mm and 12 notches…DO NOT BUY THIS TOOL – IT DOES NOT FIT THIS BB!!! “Colcolo Bike Bicycle 12 Notch Bottom Bracket Install Remover Tool 48mm 24.35mm External Threaded – Aluminum Alloy, 55.8mm 48mm 39mm”

Warning!!!! Instillation Wrench Difficult to Find
I bought this BB based on price and it was readily available. The problem began when trying to install. Although I own 3 or 4 different size BB wrenches, none fit this item. My options were to : return the item; break out the channel locks and scar the shell during install; or find another solution. The solution turned out to be the spanner wrench for my S&S couplers on one of my bikes. It worked “good enough”. A few turns of tape on the wrench kept it from marring the BB. Steady pressure on the hook where it engaged the BB slot kept it from slipping. I have no idea if I torqued the shell to specs. I know that I put it on well enough that it will not be coming off. My permanent solution is to not buy this BB in the future. The attractiveness of a low price was totally negated by the installation problem.
