Quality, fat bike specific rack
I bought this rack for my 2015 Specialized Fatboy and it fits perfectly. I have the stock 4.6″ Ground Control tires on it and there is no doubt running the max 5″ tire size will not cause any problems. I mounted the rack using the M4 screw mounts instead of using the extend thru-axle option. I also did not need to use the vinyl clamps for the rear stays; I just used the stock screws on the frame. The welds are definitely good quality and the two tone color looks great as well. There is no doubt this rack will hold the recommended 70lbs not that I will get close to that with my camping gear. I plan to run the waterproof Axiom panniers on this rack along with a basket of some sort for my dog to ride with me on occasion. All the screws are pre-coated with blue Loctite too. I believe all the screw were 4mm to you only need a single tool (included) to install which is great.I did not need to adjust the height of the rack either and I’m running it on the lowest setting so it will go pretty high if you prefer that. It will certainly clear 29er style tires with ease I am sure. My 26″x4.6″s are pretty close to the profile of a 29er fully inflated anyway. So, if you are looking for a high quality fat bike specific rack with multiple mounting options look no further.

Survives unscathed from being hit by a car.
I mounted this on a Cannondale Catalyst, using M-Wave Amsterdam Hard Box mounted to the top and two Wald 582 Rear Folding Bicycle Basket (12.75 x 7.25 x 8.5, Black) on the sides with a Portland Design Works Radbot 1000 1W LED Tail Light on the rear light bracket, installation took a bit of figuring out through no fault of the manufacturer, the box contained ample parts to install the rack in a variety of ways (I used the rear frame dropouts and rear bosses). I’ve waited some time to do a review of this product to properly gauge its quality and durability, this ended on June 3rd 2017, when I was on my way to work when I was struck by a car on the left side of my bike. My rear wheel was severely damaged, my baskets were collapsed, my seat was damaged, my handlebars were twisted, My hard box was covered in road scrapes along with my headlight and myself, my reflectors were torn off, and this rack which was struck directly by the front of a car was completely undamaged, the finish wasn’t even harshly damaged. Would absolutely recommend for any hardtail bicycle.

Purchased this for a 2019 Surly ECR and it fit perfectly. I looked at many racks for this wide tired bike (3 inch rear tire) and while some may of fit, the frame stay clearance looked to have been an issue. The frame stays on this rack are adjustable and are on the outside of the rack with makes for a more direct support and with no clearance issues. I run Ortlieb panniers and I did have to turn the bottom bag attachment upside down, as Ortlieb indicates can be done. Also I glued a washer over one fitting as suggested by someone else to prevent chaffing of the bag. Ive ridden pretty rough terrain with loaded bags and no issues.

This is a great rack
This is a great rack. I have a fat tire bike with a disc brakes and this thing gives a perfect amount of clearance and doesn’t interfere with the brake or brakeline. It’s super sturdy and holds a good amount of weight. I can see where it’s definitely rated for 70 pounds. You might need a little bit of blue Loctite on the bolts but once you’ve got that on they’re not moving and you have an excellent product.

I’ve had a few things from Blackburn – frame bags and other carriers and this is the same – well made and sturdy. Yes it’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Perfect for my 29 inch MTB. I use panniers and a rack as I prefer this to bike packing luggage

Schrauben und sonstiges Installationsmaterial sind für unterschiedliche Fahrräder dabei. Absolut nice !!!Die Farbe „Marine-Grau“ sieht an einem schwarzen Fahrrad sehr elegant aus und wirkt mit schwarzen Packtaschen einem Fatbike sehr angemessen. Assembly frustrations aside, it’s a great rack
The rack is nice and sturdy. The adjustability is great. Very solid rack that is currently holding a Thule Yepp child seat.The installation is straightforward but for some reason certain parts came preassembled in an incorrect alignment and direction. It took me forever to reconcile the pictures from the instruction manual with the parts that came out of the packaging because they did not match. I had to then find additional tools to forceably disassembled the incorrectly matched parts, in order to then correctly reassemble. The amount of torque needed to pull apart the incorrect assembly was ridiculous. Bad QC perhaps. Made for a frustrating process but ultimately happy with the product

Nice and sturdy
Installation was not super straight forward, but I think that has more to do with the fact that this is a universal design, so I had to figure out the best mounting points for my bike. I tried it one way and didn’t like it, almost returned it, but then I looked at the instructions again and found an alternate way of mounting it and that worked. It is very sturdy. I even crashed once – laid my bike down completely and this thing didn’t budge.

Es un buen Rack ligero. Incluye la herramienta necesaria, tornillos, tuercas y rondanas (arandelas) que se ajustan al tipo de bicicleta que tengas.Se adapta perfectamente a cualquier ancho de bicicleta de cierre rápido ya que incluye uno que es muy largo, tuve que cortarlo para que quedara perfecto.
