Great balancer
Very good motorcycle wheel balancer.Works as advertised. The level viewer should have been be the round type, and stuck to the frame, not separate.Happy with the purchase.

Warped Base creates misaligned upright pieces. Rod has rough places that create resistance of the turning wheel.
The package came in and the first thing I checked was the rod that the wheel would balance on. It was straight, but when I looked at the base of the stand, I noticed it was warped. It looks like it was from when they bent the sheet metal or when they welded the support pieces across the bottom. So the result is that the two upright pieces don’t exactly line up. I think it is still usable to balance a wheel, but the centering pins are useless.

Sturdy stand combining balance and truing
Very sturdy stand and excellent price point combining balancing and truing in one tool. The 7/16″ axle offers great flexibility to use on older machines with smaller diameter axles like my ’49 Indian but still works well on modern machines with larger axle diameters. The only down side was that they should have packed the base with bubble wrap or something. The paint on the base was scuffed from rubbing the inside of the cardboard box during shipping, but that was only cosmetic and had no bearing on the function of the stand. A little buffing compound cleaned it up some, but no worries it is a shop tool not an end table.

Well made, but don’t tighten the set screws.
Only one complaint. The cones that are tightened against the wheel bearings while trying a wheel become misaligned when the set screw is tightened. This can introduce a wobble at the hub. For a device that is otherwise well made with precision in mind, this flaw will make precision almost impossible if assembled as directed. My advice …don’t tighten the set screws.

True wheels without dial indicator
Its ok. The only unit i could find that has an arm included so i dont have to use a dial indicator and mag base to true spoked wheels. Other than that its your regular Chinese trash.

Ease of assembly, use an actual level to level the balancer.
Checking balance on newly installed tires.

Better than others I have tried (I am only using the stand)
I have a high quality marc parnes shaft, cones and bearing set up, so I just needed a stand to put those well machined parts on. This stand is very sturdy compared to the first one I bought off amazon, and it’s a little narrower, making it a better base for the 14″ shaft I have. This thing works beautifully for my purposes and does what it says. I have had zero issues leveling it with the adjustable feet. The bearings and parts on this seem decently made as well. I imagine if you wanted to use them, a bit of TLC would get the included bearings and parts working just fine, they definitely spin more freely than the first kit I bought hahaha ;). I have heard tale that sewing machine oil goes a long way to freeing up bearings, but never tried it myself.
