As good or better functionality than much more expensive “serious cyclists” lights.I was recommending this light up until it simply stopped taking a charge. Like a lot of off brands they’re called a control Is abysmal. While it worked it was good but I would not trust it for a night time Bike ride As your principal light source. It could stop working at any time

A seriously powerful light at a fraction of the cost of others
I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical when I saw a light that was claiming to beat out some $100 competition at stores like REI but this light offers great if not better performance than its competitors by a mile. The light on its brightest setting is honestly kind of blinding to look at from head on and easily lights up super dark roads at night, the strobe mode is also a nice diction for daytime running and the movement detection mode where it pauses when you’re stationary is great for urban commuting so you don’t blind other cars at a stoplight. Honestly if you’re looking for a great bang for you buck headlight that is powerful and well built, this is the one!

Great light with 4 levels of brightness
I bought ANOTHER one as a back up to my original, should the first one run out if power. I love it even more, a year after buying my first one and my original review follows, as it still holds true. Great light!! I bought this light on the recommendation of a fellow rider as I wanted a stronger headlamp than the one that came on my bike and this light checks all the boxes for me. Particularly on long rides, the “auto” button allows me to set and forget. Its motion sensor turns it on when I’m ready to go after a break and it turns off when stationary for a while. The light has a much more horizontal beam focus than the traditional lamp which is very helpful when riding at night as it lights up the edges of the road/trail. It also has several levels of brightness. Easy to attach and detach from the handlebar for charging and holds a long charge. Would definitely recommend this light.

Great urban bike light
To be clear, this is a great urban bike light for around town, in neighborhoods and down paved pathways. The cutoff it has works great to not blind on coming pedestrians and vehicles, while still maintaining great light in front of and down the road. Battery life is also very good (much better than some of those name branded ones at the bike shops that are double to triple to price). And the mount is super simple and easy to use, while not flopping all over the place or taking 30 minutes to rig up.Only short coming is on offroad trails, unless it is a pretty mellow trail (greens or fire roads), because of the cut off, isn’t the greatest for spotting features or turns on actual mountain bike trails. But once again, for urban environment, which this is more geared towards, it is absolutely perfect for.

Super high quality, crazy bright!
This is a darn fine light for the money, way way above my expectations. Precision machining, sleek styling, just a really nice high quality light that stands out.And if the looks don’t impress, turn this beast on! It’s bright, like daytime on a pathway at night bright. Really.I’m not really sure on charging cycles yet, but I’ve been using it every night for about a week now, and still going strong.There’s tons of choices, and it gets rather confusing quick. Can’t go wrong here, rest assured.

Outstanding road light!
Can’t beat it for the money!This is a great light! Rechargeable, good mounting hardware – with durable quick-detachment features, sensible brightness/flashing options, and a good button!And all that for the same cash a terrible walmart light that eats AAs. I think you’d have to spend 2-3x to get something meaningfully better, and then I would worry about it walking off if I forgot to take it off.I ride on roads, often dirt or gravel with unexpected potholes and a local culture that really appreciates using low beams when meeting other drivers. I like that the design of this light has such a hard cut-off at the “top” so I can just set it to ensure I’m not blinding any on-coming while still seeing road conditions a ways out (but I can bump it up slightly if they need a reminder to dim theirs’) I think if I was on hilly terrain (mountain biking) then not lighting upward could be an issue. But for roads where I am, its perfect.

Amazing output and sharp beam cutoff (not-blinding!)
Easily the best light under ~$150cad in terms of output and a non-blinding beam pattern. It’s amazing how much higher up I can aim this, without blinding anyone else! Means I can see waaaay farther down paths. It’s actually insanely better than my $250 MTB light with a round beam pattern… This Sofrin throws way way better for on-road use!Doesn’t last a crazy long time in boost mode (45-60mins?) but medium is plenty for any roads with a bit of ambient light, and high works great for completely dark paths. I’ll occasionally switch it to boost for a particular extra dark section with gravel on the bike path… so the battery life is plenty for commuting, relying you charge at work, or don’t only use boost.Sofrin makes great flashlights and headlights as well, and this is built just as well as their other products that I have. Top tier!

Le doy 5 estrellas porque ya con 2 años de uso medio me ha cumplido y rebasado las expectativas sobre lo que esperaba de esta lampara, sirve mucho para senderos y lugares con vegetación espesa muy oscuros, alumbra sin deslumbrar a los que vienen en sentido contrario, las funciones que tiene soy muy buenas , ademas de su carga reversible que para una emergencia con algún dispositivo te lo carga con su batería. Tambien es robusta y contra el agua, todo excelente.

Worked great, until it didn’t.
Worked great last summer. Intensely bright, pretty cheap, mounts easy, good battery life, very simple. But now as the days get shorter I’ve gotten it back out, and the thing won’t hold a charge at all, nor can it be opened at all to try replacing the battery.I suppose you get what you pay for, and it _was_ pretty great for a while so it’s not an awful product. If you go for this item, keep in mind that it might fail on you, and that you won’t be able to fix it. Perhaps do whatever you need to for maximum battery health.
