The side cutouts – which help others see you from the side – are a nice touch. The battery indicator is effective. However, the USB-C charging is limited. It will only charge using a USB-C to USB-A adaptor cable with a USB-A charger. This means you can’t simply charging with the nearest USB-C charger, and effectively means you need a specific cable & charger combo to charge. Deducted 2 stars for the charging complexity.

I wish I had gotten this before buying a few other bike lights. I didn’t realize until my family got e-bikes and we started riding (safely hence the lights) at night regularly, how annoying it is to have to unmount your light to charge it. Even if it only takes a minute, a minute is long enough for my kid to put it off until later, and then forget about it entirely. This one comes off just by unhooking the silicon strap. It takes maybe a second. And then it goes right on the charger for next time! This tiny detail saves us so much frustration.Next thing is the battery life – STELLAR. 10 stars for battery life. It probably outlasts my kids last light tenfold. Not only is it smaller, but it’s bright enough even on the lowest setting! We ride by the water at night and it’s super dark… this light works great even at the beach! Honestly it’s probably too strong on the highest setting. Allllso it has a charging light indicator and is fully charged in less than an hour on a regular usb-a to usbC charger. Heck yes. It better come with a C port or we just end up not using it, since no one wants to go find the charger lolAs far as water resistance we have had no issues at all even in light rain. My son used it as a headlamp when he was fishing too, he said it was perfect for both. It has a silicon stopper and feels really sturdy so I don’t see how any water could infiltrate this light.I’m just so glad he doesn’t hate using it and doesn’t think it looks dumb. He is in high school so he’s existentially self aware, very meticulous, and likes everything to look “clean”.. and he really likes this! He actually thanked me for it! I just want him safe so this is a win-win 🙂

Surprisingly Secure, Super Bright & Great for Night Rides!
This bike light has honestly been way more impressive than I expected. At first glance, I wondered if the little rubber strap would actually hold the light securely on a bike—but it absolutely does! The strap is adjustable, rubbery, and grippy, so once it’s attached to the bike frame, it stays put.Installation couldn’t be easier. No instructions are really necessary, and it’s simple enough that my 8-year-old son can even take it off by himself.The light is rechargeable with a USB-C cable, and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time between charges. I’m also really impressed by how bright it is. It’s not obnoxiously bright, but it throws enough light that my son can actually see quite a ways ahead of him in the dark.We’ve gone on several family bike rides at night this summer, and this little headlight has been extremely helpful for him. It gives him much better visibility and makes nighttime riding a lot more practical.For the price, I really don’t think you can beat it. It’s easy to install, stays securely in place, holds a charge well, and puts out plenty of light. I highly recommend it!

The latching system is too good and it’s a little wobbly, otherwise a very good light
Going to get my whining out of the way, the rubber stretch band attachment system is quick and easy, but allows the light to wobble while you switch lighting modes. No amount of tightness can fix it because of the softness of the material used. The rail and latch securing is too good, I have a hard time detaching the light from the bad to bring it in to charge, I’d just rather undo the band. I wish the brightest mode lasted longer, just around two hours seems kind of limiting, it’s the most effective and worthwhile mode. Thanks to USB C, recharging it is easy. Just remember to bring it in from your night right and plug it in before you go to bed.I wish it came in silver as well as black, otherwise it looks good. As far as quick release and easy to install bike lights, it’s a good value for beginners, but if you’re doing prolonged night riding consider something with more battery life for its brightest mode.

Great bike light with options and usb c port
My sons needed bike lights in order to safely ride bikes at dusk or later. It’s not a huge issue at the moment since it is July and it doesn’t get dark until around 9:30, but as we head more towards late summer and fall it is required.I saw these lights and thought they looked like a good option so I took a chance on it, with good results.If there’s anything to be said that isn’t a positive, it’s just that there was a little bit of dust and debris in the packaging which was really a non issue. A quick dust off and we were as good as new.This light comes with a mounting strap that is thick silicone and seems very rugged. It holds onto the handlebars quite nicely. There’s a thumb tension lever to release it from the mount and allow it to be used as a handheld flashlight or taken inside to recharge.Recharging the light is simple, a silicone flap covers the usb port. It includes a small cable to charge with that was problem free.The light is quite bright (stated to be 600 lumens). It provides good illumination and although yes there are higher powered lights out there, I’m not sure how much of a practical difference that would make, especially at the expense of shorter battery life and / or having to lug around something bigger for the battery size.For a 13 year old to make sure his bike is visible and his pathway home from school is well lit, this certainly fits the bill.

Bright light with lots of options
This bicycle light looks very nice, and has lots of options for the type of lighting. All of the options are for white lighting (no red lights, which is sometimes an option on these LED headlamps, flashlights, etc), but if you’re looking for a bike headlamp you want to reserve the red lighting for the rear taillight. But back to this light…There are three brightness options. I took some photos of the actual light, but honestly it’s hard to really gauge in a photo. Rest assured, it’s bright! Maybe too bright for riding around on city streets? Which is OK, because there are two lower levels of brightness. And then there’s a bright flashing mode, and finally a bright “pulsing” mode where the light decreases and increases in brightness in a smooth pulse. That pulse mode is pretty cool, and noticeable to others around you. Whatever mode you leave it in, it will resume that same mode the next time you turn it on. To turn it on or off, you long-press on the same button that you use to toggle the light modes.The attachment to the bike is one area of concern, I think. It’s rubbery, and you stretch it a bit to join a plastic hook onto the holes in the band. You can get it nice and tight on your bike, but because you would likely be putting on/removing this light from your bike repeatedly, this seems like something that could break over time. This rubbery material feels similar to watch bands that I’ve had in the past, and the part of the watch that generally broke over time was the band. It’s hard to tell how this one will hold up, but this is the only reason I gave this four stars instead of five – there are better, more robust ways of handling the strap. That said, this does work pretty well.Overall, I like this one! I’ll keep it attached to my bike as much as possible without repeatedly removing it, as I’m not too concerned about it being stolen.
