I thought this was great when I first installed it. Nice snug fit with my Bontrager Light.After riding three miles, I noticed the the screw the holds the two pieces of the item together was loose.I removed the light and continued on my ride. When completed, after another twenty miles or so, the screw and nut were both gone. The item is now useless until I can find a replacement screw and nut.

Short GoPro style mount for my Bontrager headlight, hangs just under my Garmin mount!
So I already have one of these (it’s a longer version, 2.25″ long) and I have been very happy having my Bontrager Ion headlight sitting down below my Garmin mount It’s a great location (well protected too) and my headlight doesn’t take up any real-estate on my handlebars, hooray! But recently I got a Salsa Everything Cradle that attaches to the handlebars (lets me carry a good size drybag out in front of my handlebars). I use it so far only for bikepacking on my gravel bike, to give me increased carrying capacity (tho I could also carry it for road touring if I wanted to). The mount I currently have just sticks down too far for the cradle, as when I strap in the drybag (usually full of lightweight stuff like clothes) it covers the light (the cradle can swing up or down, and you want it as low as you can get it, but my gravel bike has a suspension fork so I can’t go far enough down to totally clear the headlight). Then I found this short GoPro to Bontrager adapter, which moved the light closer to my Garmin mount, and now it clears my cradle and bag, perfect! So I moved the longer one that I already had to my road touring bike, and this shorty version will live forever on my bikepacking rig! Problem solved!! It’s pretty sturdy too, yet simple and light-weight, love it!
