Speedplay X2 solution for replacement cleats
I thought I had used my last pair of Speedplay X2 cleats which are no longer available since Wahoo purchased Speedplay. I did a search that showed a replacement cleat that looks more like the ZERO but has been modified to use a C-cleat connector that works on the old Speedplay X2 pedal. I was skeptical of the ad but noticed about 5 positive reviews and made the purchase. I am thrilled. I still have the old Speedplay cleat on 1 shoe and this new cleat replacing the broken cleat on the other shoe. I actually like the new C-cleat connector better than the old Speedplay X2 cleat. NOTE: The Keep On Kovers for X2 cleats does not work with this cleat BUT the Keep On Kovers for Zero does . Also the old walkable circle that inserted into the Zero cleat workes with this new X2 replacement cleat.

Holds shoes well.
After a few times of using these I can honestly say they hold my shoes to my Speedplay pedals quite well. I haven’t had a cleat slip yet. That said, I have had difficulty slipping the shoe onto the cleat without a bit of effort. One star removed because the cleats arrived as a gaggle of parts with no instructions.

These are dangerous and the damage they cause is quite costly and painful.
These are awful and they are dangerous. They clipped in OK, but when I tried to get out of them they did not release and I hit the pavement. I literally had to take my feet out of the shoes with the shoes still engaged with the pedals before I could get the cleats to release. Ended up with a hurt knee and a really bad scratch on my 1992 Bridgestone RB-1 bike that still had a near perfect factory paint job before this incident.

Fit is wrong
Cleats were not correct, one side was fine but not the other was backwards
