    Work great. Don’t be discouraged by its size. Great lil tool, that takes very little room.

    This thing is very small and very light. Just enough to break the chain and I like that it crimp cable caps. A+ It’s literally half a palm of your hand long and weighs 1/2 of full sized tool I got stolen from my car in California where crime’s a problem. I’ve fixed 150 bikes at the very least in my life and this tool does 100% of anything I could have wanted with any bike’s chain, not to mention you don’t crimp those bicycle ferrules with even tiniest of long nosed pliers as you do with this 2 in one tool. I kept the plastic bag to keep both the plier-like tool and the long C bracket you put on the chain when you remove the connecting link.

    I have broken 3 chains out on a ride far from home in the years since they became more fragile (that’s another story). Having a chain master link spared me from having to call Uber.With modern, 10 to 12 speed chains, the ends of the link pins are peened over to hold in the thin outer plates of the chain. So the pins can be driven out, but not reinserted once the flared end is lost. You should carry a master link to fit your chain and the link pliers to repair your chain on the road.
