Seems like a sturdy mount. However, I didn’t measure the distance between the holes on my rear rack to mount this and it’s too narrow, so not useful for me. Make sure you measure before you buy.

It’s a light metal base and includes all the tools you’d need to install it, including the smaller allen wrench if you want to change the mount from vertical to horizontal. I had to return it b/c I didn’t measure first and it didn’t fit my frame. The other brand I bought is def inferior. All plastic and only one allen wrench.

Perfect with any generic rack
I have two bikes, my commuter with rack and my regular road/gravel. I use a Varia that I swap, but the road bike with a bike seat mount, and a seatpost mount for my commuter. However, my rack blocks part of the seatpost so I often get subpar results with the radar.However, this allows me to put my radar right at the back, and it seems to be a generic fit as my rack is a generic one from Decathlon.

Good varia mount
I have this on a milk crate that’s attached to the rack of my ebike because that way the radar has the least obstruction. I didn’t use the provided hardware and just zip tied it to the milk crate but it works great that way, so I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to attach a varia radar to a milk crate.

It even came with a small wrench and hex keys so I didn’t even have to dig out my toolkit!Body is aluminum with a plastic insert for the Garmin lugs which can be rotated 90 degrees if needed to fit your device. Still waiting on my light for this but the lugs fit my computer nice and tight.NOTE: This is not a locking mount which you may want if you are riding on rough trails and mountain biking. I’m riding on roads and paved trails so I don’t expect this to be a problem my use case. Also I don’t care about weight (I’m exercising, not time trials lol) but if you do a plastic mount might save you a few grams.I hope this helps you make the right decision for you.

My Tarmac SL8 has a flawed design for mounting a garmin to the aero handlebar, as it breaks off very quickly, meaning you could lose an expensive bike computer.I had wracked my brain for a solution besides spending $500 on a new round handlebar and came across this one that I first tried as is. I laid it out flat on my handlebar and used electrical tape to secure it down. I used that solution for a couple of months but given the lengthy of the flat metal, it encroached quite a bit into my hand space on the handlebar. So I took a chance and sliced off the outer half of each side of the flat bar and tried to smooth out the ends. I was very pleasantly happy to see that I could move my Garmin much further to the middle of the handlebar, freeing up substantial space for my hands.The first photo shows the original length next to the modified one(I had bought a second unit in case the experiment ruined it). The second photo shows the end result with the Garmin way into towards the middle.As a side note, be aware that the garmin mount round section has two screws that allows you to reorient the direction that the garmin faces — this is a key feature of this mount that made my application work.

I took a gamble on this since it mentions accommodating a 50mm mounting distance. While the exact edges of the slots are 50mm, that does not actually allow this to mount on a rack with 50mm spacing. This is fairly standard sizing on Tubus and Nitto racks. Quality seems fine otherwise.
