When your cables are a little floppy around the bottom bracket
I bought a used ‘Specialized’ bike with some maintenance needs, and this cable guide fit exactly and allowed both front and rear derailleur cables to be retained and guided. They’re happy cables now, and my new bike is working better because of them. Remember, the cables are your friends!

You honestly don’t need anything more to run your cables. This thing works as designed. If you are unsure of the direction of install, just do a quick google search.

After a few thousand miles on my 5 year old bike, my original piece became brittle and ended up in multiple pieces. I ran around to all the bike stores I could but no one had anything similar since new bikes no longer run cables along the outside. Good quality, reasonable fit
These were good, I had to trim one for the frame I have but it is difficult to accomplish one size fits all and after an easy trim, it fit the curve without a gap.

Gets the job done
I bought this to convert my 2021 State 4130 All-Road from 1x to 2x. The bike came with a pre-drilled and tapped mounting location on the bottom bracket, but no bottom bracket cable guide. This one fit the BB perfectly, and the included screw was the exact right size and threading. It fits perfectly, went on easily, and the cable guide is in the perfect spot for the frame. Perfect solution for the frame.
