„Schließautomatik“ klemmt, das Schloss schnappt nicht ein. Man muss es noch etwas drehen, bevor es fest sitzt. Dabei macht es leider kein klick-Geräusch – man weiß also nie, ob es richtig geschlossen ist.Das Öffnen geht schwergängig, man muss mit aufgedrehtem Schlüssel gleichzeitig das Schloß auseinander ziehen.Wenn es denn mal zu ist, hält es hoffentlich den Dieben stand.

This is the shortest I would typically use for general use.The key works smoothly and has a registration process for ordering a lost key. The lock portion feels heavy duty. I have another budget chain lock of a similar size, and the lock on this is noticeably bulkier, which I like.I can recommend this chain lock as a budget-friendly option.(For clarity, the “8-90” chain I received is 8mm in thickness and 90cm long (~3 ft)).

Heavy, but very solid lock
I purchased this to use with my E bike and the lock has worked great for me. I will say the lock is quite heavy, so it may not be great for everyone, but it also adds to the durability of the lock. The lock has been easy to use, fits my bike with the rack perfectly. Pretty solid value for the price and keeps my E bike from walking away with someone else.

Heavy, durable, and packed with practical features (rubber boot, weather‑proof door, spare keys, registration– which I shall never use, haha. Amazon is my receipt!). It locks my bike securely when I’m out and about on the one that it’s attached to.Yes, it’s heavy, but honestly unless you are training for the Tour De France or something just buck up and wrap it around the seatpost or put it in your panniers or somewhere. We have to whine less about things that don’t matter in the ultimate scheme of things.As always, use more than one bike lock for protection. Very nicely made bike lock. Very strong chain, thick in diameter, making it tough to cut thru. Lock is of good design, very hard for someone to pick or attempt to pry apart. Cover over the chain a added bonus keeping whatever your locking up from getting scratched. Overall a good bike lock.

A little too thick for my bike’s narrow gaps, but still a great option
This bike chain is certainly heavy duty! Made completely out of a heavy metal chain, there is no chance a thief will get away with your bicycle. That said, the chain is a bit short, though that can also be quite advantageous. Sometimes an overly long chain just adds too much weight and bulk to the ride. A short chain is good, only if you can still stretch it enough to get it around the most important parts of the bike body, as well as a post or a part of the bicycle rack that can secure the bicycle into place.I will list off the pros and cons of this chain:Pros:There is a little trap door which opens and shuts to reveal or hide the key hole.(This adds a bit more of a deterrent to potential thieves).Made up of a heavy duty chain that can not be easily broken or cut throughDepending on your needs, it is short, not too long; it does not add any unnecessary weight or bulk to your ride.Comes with 2 keys (a set) so if you lose one key, you can fetch your back up key at home, and still retrieve your bike.Cons:Depending on your needs, it IS a short chain. That can also be a con, if you find it is too short to wrap around the most important parts of your bicycle body and still leave any slack when accounting for the pole or rack. Take into account the length of this chain when ordering.A specific con, for me: The round metal head of the lock is too wide, in circumference, to fit in between the very narrow openings in the tight swan neck bike body. It is too wide for the opening just above my front wheel, AND it is too wide for the opening within the bars which connect that to the seat and pedals.Since I ride a “female” bike, this would NOT be a problem at all for men’s bicycles. This drawback probably comes with the territory when ordering a bicycle chain for a bicycle with such a unique narrow swan neck design, but as you can see from my last photo, it still fits just fine if I only lock up the front wheel to the body of the bicycle, as long as I attach it to the lower portion between those neck bars. Alternatively, it certainly would keep the back wheel attached to the bike as well, with no issue. So it is a very good chain lock indeed, but my particular bicycle is just not designed well for thick chain locks.

Nice quality well thought out
Great medium security lock. The lock works really smoothly. Has a nice sheathing around it to keep it from scratching bike. Even where the chain is exposed it has a nice big rubber boot. The cool thing is it has a little door over the lock to keep the weather out. You locks are popular but chains are nice because you can wind them around your seat stem.
