What better evidence of security than knowing criminals are walking up to your bike and stealing the one next to it instead.
I ride my bike everywhere downtown, I have spent great effort researching all available security options. I carry Abus 8k 6 foot chain with a Magnum #5 Master lock on my bike, it’s light and secures the wheels, this is the minimum level of protection, it is mostly a wheel security device. The 3 different locations I frequent in the city I leave locks and chain. The chain and lock level of protection is equal to the amount of time I keep my bike there. The maximum level of protection I have and for where my bike spends its most time is one of these 2 foot 14k Abus chains with a 16mm Xena Padlock. This combination has never been defeated. There is no videos or examples of anyone ever picking or cutting these two locks and chains. I have had on THREE occasions been the neighbor of bike theft. One day both bikes on either side of mine wore stolen only their broken U locks remained. On a second time the bike on my right was stolen, again with broken u lock. On a 3rd occasion I came back to my bike and only the wheel and cable lock remained next to mine. What better evidence of security than literally knowing criminals are walking right up to your bike and stealing the one next to it ignoring your own. 5 stars.

This is one step below using an anchor chain from a destroyer. I love it.
Pros- Stong. Very strong. Strong like bull. Fits together well. Nylon cover is very well thought out and useful. Pairs perfectly with an Abus Granit lock. Did I mention its strong?Cons- One end link is designed to have the other fed through it for locking, as such it will only loop to one diameter without modification (i.e. cutting off loops). Cutting off loops will probably require you to get a torch or to burn through a few cutting discs. Due to the large links this chain is not very… “flexible” for lack of a better term. If you have to fit it into a tight space your gonna have a bad time.This chain came with an Abus lock I recently ordered. It is a very substantial chain that weighs about 3.5 lbs per foot. The cover may not seem necessary, but once you put it onto something you will see that it very much serves a purpose and you will be glad to have it. This chain could leave some serious marks on even a powder coated surface if you were to drag it across. One loop on the end is longer than the other- this is so you can feed the small link through the larger one, giving you more options for locking. This will be the only way you can lock it if you are using a Abus Granit lock. The links are very large, made of hardened square steel stock, appear to have an anodized coating on them. They are welded very well at the gap in the link. If you need a very strong chain to secure something of high value this is a great choice. I highly recommend it and will be buying more.

This is the real deal
Most chains will keep out an honest theif, but this is obviously designed to keep out a whole lot more. Only downsides is that the chain is very, VERY heavy for its size and wouldn’t be good for locking up a bike. It also means you need a lock with an ~11mm shackle or else the lock will be useless in comparison. I had high expectations and yet was still impressed by how brawny and tough this chain feels. Great quality and worth every dollar. The pictures do not do any justice to show just how thick this chain is.

Bear in mind the thickness with the claimed length.
This is a really beefy chain and should be more than strong enough for my needs, however it is too short. I measured the gate I need to secure and thought a two foot heavy chain was perfect. Unfortunately this chain is so thick that the thickness of the links eats into the circumference of the loop so much that the chain will not actually fit around the gate and upright as intended. I need an additional six inches of length for this heavy chain to actually fit around a two foot circumference I intended. I guess I should have considered that before purchase.

Good heavy chain, but lacking in options for length
Two feet is too short and impractical a length for this very heavy 14KS gauge chain. Especially frustrating as the only longer option is the six foot version. Also, there seems to be no 14KS chain with a slip ring, which would have been fantastic. Instead I ended up having to buy two of the six foot chains, plus extra-heavy U-locks.Despite the lack of options and the fact these chains are actually Chinese-made, not German, I’m happy enough with the overall quality, especially when compared with other chains available on Amazon.

Good chain, if length and weight are not an issue
Excellent chain. You won’t find anything better in terms of strength and security. Thieves will take one look at this monster of a chain and keep on moving.However:Keep in mind that this is a very short chain that is very heavy. If you’re trying to lock a bike, you won’t have much room or slack to work with, and if that’s gonna be a problem I’d consider going with a longer version of this chain, although keep in mind that that will add even more weight.A decent option for an ebike where the motor can haul weight without issue, though.

Peace of mind
I use this to lock a storage yard filled with vehicles and tools. The chain and sheathing are high quality and don’t look to have any vulnerabilities. The chain links are heavy duty and have a nice finish.This definitely fits the bill for high security and performs very well. The chain is heavy due to the thickness of it. Definitely a good value for money.

Thick Heavy and Short Chain
Aloha! Just purchased this chain. I wish they used the actual item in the picture as its no were anything as long as the pictures shows. After inspecting the chain its very heavy duty and well made. I guess I can use this to secure my chain link fence. This however to short to circle my ebike frame and tire let alone a post to lock it to. But this did give me a very good idea of how this chain quality. (very well made). The chain covering is nice and thick looks like should last a very long time. I will be ordering another longer chain 6′ KS 12 or 10. The KS14 is very thick loops as you can see. I hope this helps others thinking about this chain. For the money I think it was a great buy if this is a good fit for you.
