Nutfix is the new and stylish solution for securing bicycle components. The nutfix system protects both wheels and the seat post against would-be thieves. The nut is Fitted with a mechanism that only releases the screw below when the bike is on its side. This means it is not possible to access the screw UNLESS the bike is on its side. If the bicycle is locked upright, the nutfix caps cannot be removed and prevent access to the nut, meaning that all your bike components remain securely in place. Nutfix comes in three varieties: complete quick release axles kits, individual axle nuts for Bolt-On wheels, and seat post collars. They each come in a variety of sizes to fit many different bikes, and are available now at first in three colors, red, Black and silver.

    Un sin sentido

    Mientras que el sistema de cierre para el sillín de la misma marca es una auténtica maravilla, a éste producto en concreto no le veo ni pies ni cabeza. El kit se compone de la tuerca de seguridad, la que queda cubierta por un capuchón metálico y que sólo puede quedar descubierta colocando la bici en horizontal y una tuerca normal y corriente.Se supone que es para colocar en una rueda o en general, en cualquier sitio, pero ojo, que no se trata del kit específico para ruedas.La idea, entiendo yo, es apretar ambos extremos de tal manera que de usarse posteriormente un llave fija o de tubo en la tuerca normal, el vástago ire y no ocurra nada, es decir, se necesitaría hacer fuerza en ambos extremos para poder aflojar un lado, y como la otra tuerca estaría protegida, bien cubierta por el capuchón metálico…pero, ¿qué pasaría si quizás por una acumulación de roña o por otras circunstancias la tuerca normal se pudiera soltar sin necesidad de tocar la del otro extremo? Pues nos robarían la rueda, sillín o lo que sea y Santas Pascuas.Así pues, repito, el kit para el sillín es la caña, y probablemente también el específico para ruedas, ¿pero éste? Para mí es tirar el dinero, de vuelta que se va.

    This does not stay ‘locked’ when in horizontal position and can be pulled away exposing the nut, thus works as a very expensive cap.

    Hat gefühlt genauso lange gedauert als würde ich bei Aliexpress bestellen. Aber das Teil kam an und passte natürlich nicht… Halb so schlimm ich wollte das Abus Logo eh weg haben, da man damit sonst innerhalb von sekunden raus bekommen kann wie man das öffnet. Also den Umfang an der dicksten Stelle nen halben Millimeter abgedreht und poliert. Jetzt passt es und sieht aus wie ne Riesenhutmutter.
