In order to prevent me from losing it the next time I need to adjust my disc brake gap I decided to order this TORCHPILOT 4pcs Bike Disc Brake Pads & Rotor Alignment Tool.Upon unboxing you are presented with 4 of the disc brake gap regulators in a padded envelope. The gap regulators appear well made from 304 stainless steel.Since my front disc brakes were in need of an adjustment I put this tool to the test right away. I loosened the caliper mounting screws, slid the gap regulator onto the disc and then rotated it until it was positioned between the brake pads, pulled the brake handle and then tightened the caliper mounting screws. I was very pleasantly surprised that with just one try I was able to adjust the gap correctly.Overall, this basic device simplifies the process of adjusting the gap on your disc brakes and eliminates what can be an extremely frustrating procedure. These little shims make setting up disc brakes a complete walk in the park. Stop paying yourself $.25 an hour because you’re too proud to buy the proper tool. Get four of these for far less than you’ll spend on beer to subdue the frustration of free handing it. Buy me a beer to thank me…

I had a terrible time adjusting new hydraulic brake pads. I couldn’t seem to get them set up without some dragging. These solved that problem 100%.

Apparently there are several of these disc brake gap tools on the market, but I heard about it first on Amazon.Incredibly simple tool. Makes short, accurate, work of tedious disc brake alignment and tensioning. Comes as a 4 pack. One for the shop, one for the touring tool kit. Two extras, I guess.
