Really Nice Lights for a Bike!
This thing is awesome!I have my own ebike, and I bought it second hand. Due to that, it didn’t have any headlights, or a horn.It does take a fair amount of splicing and rewiring of your ebikes wiring, but its truly not that hard. If you don’t want to do much, you can just patch it into the power coming in and skip the brake light section (possibly tie it to ground so there is always a light on?)The light itself is super bright, and the horn is super loud. No one would have trouble seeing either.The rear light works great too, turn signal works great.The mount for the light is solid and standard, mount for the rear right is okay, not the best.Overall, I think it was really good value for what it was!

Will update if I can fix it but wiring is seemingly messed up and the break light won’t turn off unless unplugged.had to manually rewire half of the break light wires and now like 8 months later the headlight has decided to just die at random…

Idea is very good, but execution is good
Took me a while to install onto a new bike I was doing.The indicator lights light up left or right or both, whatever you press. I expected one to turn off if other indicator is pressed. Also, the brake light cable are not wired up properly. Somehow it only had one cable per brake signal cable, controller won’t be able to sense when brakes are pressed (as a single cable can’t make contact). So I bypassed the brake light

Purchased for an Ecotric 20″ fat tire (foldable) 48v 500w model which came without a headlight or tail light.The e-bike’s controller is in large part compatible with the wiring harness in this kit! That’s the good news. The bad news is that, as others have found, the tail light wiring is backward. Red is (-) and black is (+). If you do not reverse these when you install, your brake light (not tail light) will always be on. I tried to de-pin the connector but it’s too darn small and I didn’t have the right tools. I wound up clipping them and reversing them with quick connect crimp ons just so I could revert back easily if it didn’t work. It worked.One other thing to note: Ecotric’s controller “power out” uses a male terminal, and the terminal on the wiring harness in the kit for “power in” is also male. I once again clipped and installed quick connects, but very quickly found out that the output was only at 5V from the controller. The kit requires 36V/48V to function. I had to splice into the direct battery output – even more quick connects used… but in the end the installation is clean.Minor but annoying issue – the control unit (housing with the buttons you put on your handlebar) didn’t have a flexible clamp. I had to actually pull off the items from the handlebar to slide it on. That seems very stupid and unnecessary.The biggest issue I had was trying to cram all of the wiring/connectors into the controller box cavity at the bottom of the bike. I am nervous that over time all of that cramming will wear on the wires and start to cause issues, but time will tell. The bike is now fully functioning as it should with horn, head light, tail light, brake light and turn signals.All the wires were long enough for my purposes. Would buy again, but they could do better on the wiring being correct.

nice setup.
i bought 2 sets. they work well. real headlight instead of glow worm your bike came with. wire colors can be confusing. if you have to remove a plug to fish wire through frame, take pic of plug and put wires back exactly where they were even though it looks wrong. it is not!

Great kit and just what I needed for my e-bike. The kit was mostly plug and play, with the exception of the main power supply on the white connector, which did not match any of the connectors on my e-bike. However, this was only a minor problem and was overcome by connecting the wiring to an ignition switched 48-volt supply. The lights are bright , the horn is loud and the indicators are sequential, just like a quality car!The quality of the kit is really impressive for the price and has some nice touches, such as the LEDs that light ip in the handle bar mounted switch to show when the switch is in use, which is very useful for the indicator function – Highly recommended.

Just got mine. Connected it properly and liking it but im just sad the brake light feature doesnt work for me. As I turn the controller on the light turn on and stay on. How to fix?

Absolutely never try and save $5 and buy used. I got this kit, and the wires were cut and the lights were busted open.If you buy brand new, the lights are high quality, bright and are very universal for all e-bikes. They are reliable and work fine. You can also customize the kit.. by cutting off the factory headlight and installing your own mini light bar, you’ll need a voltage regulator for the horn, since the horns are 12v and the output in 36-72v.Buy with confidence! Oh and buy zip ties.. because wire management is a must.Happy install!
