    Poorly shipped, would not slide – avoid!

    The foam pads were shipped tightly folded, leaving 3 permanent creases which did not go away after sitting open for 3 days. Nonetheless I decided to try them, but they are rubber lined, so they were difficult to slide on trekking butterfly handlebars. I tried dish soap, which did nothing, so I cleaned them off and tried rubbing alcohol. They slid halfway on before completely seizing up. I had to cut it off. Waste of $10. Save your money, there are many other products.

    I had these 1994 horned handlebars which are tapered. The center is 25.4 to accommodate the stem. The other side is 22.2 as usual but the ends are narrower. For a while I had tape on them but it was unwinding because a MTB is handled harder than a road bike. Well, these pads are a perfect fit.
