I have read some of the other reviews and shake my head over the lack of I.Q. in our mentally challenged fellow cyclists sometimes. YOU DON’T NEED INSTRUCTIONS TO FIGURE THIS OUT. YOU DO NEED TO HAVE A ROOM TEMPERATURE I.Q. TO PUT THESE ON. The screws are meant to … REPLACE…two of the holding screws where your cleats attach to the shoe brackets. One of the reviews comments on how the screws are exactly in the same place where there are already screws attaching the cleat. God help us. You must take those two smaller screws out…..put the cleat cover on…..line up the slots……..and put the two longer screws in to accommodate the added thickness of the plastic cover. You will never need to replace these covers again due to one falling off. My only thought is to get extra screws at the hardware store. As you walk on these, the Philips head groves do wear down. Replace the screws from time to time to prevent them from grinding smooth so you can’t get them out! Great product.

Only thing like it I could find. Great concept. The screws pull through the plastic cleat a little. They haven’t pulled through, but it is a matter of time. Wish there was an embedded washer in the cleat so it could be tightened more firmly. The screws just squeeze the plastic out around them.

I agree with another reviewer; you really don’t need instructions to install these–common sense works just fine. I like that these are installed with screws (that replace two of the existing screws on each shoe) and that they won’t likely slip off as the originals are prone to do. My only concern is durability. I’ve had them out on two longish road rides so far and they appear to be holding up, but time will tell.

Too bulky
I bought these with a new set of clear. These cover makes the whole thing very bulky under the feet. They work but if you need to walk on them, they are not great.

They’ve Stayed in Through 100 Miles
I’ve tried other brands and they’ve fallen off at the beginning of my first ride – left at an intersection somewhere. I’ve put 100 miles on the new pads with several opportunities to unclip and clip back in at traffic lights with the pads still hanging in there.Unfortunately, they are starting to show wear around the screws. I’ll have to see how they last going forward. I may have to resort to gluing in place🙁One suggestion – they’re easy to install using the provided screws. Just don’t us the online photos as orientation reference – the photos show the pads upside down.

Lost on the street!!!
Lost the left side on the second ride. Right side is coming off of one screw on the picture. Left side is the off from the peddle on the stop and go.If, you use a washer to hold the cover, then it might work… Material is too soft for the screw to hold tight to the shoes, screw would go through the soft rubber, when tightening to hold it to the shoes it self.

Great, use logic when mounting
Seems like some people can’t figure out how to mount these. These are great, very secure when mounting them with the supplied screws. One reviewer said they were missing a screw… they are wrong, the third screw is actually extra. You mount your cleats normally to the baseplate using 2 regular screws that came with your cleats, then put on the cleat cover (making sure you use the correct one on each side). You then then attach the cleat covers with the longer screws into the two remaining attachment holes. The supplied extended screws pass through the cleat cover, through the cleat and then into the cleat holder. See photos… when done correctly they are secure and really help with walking since speedplays are slippery.
