Smooth Engagement, Strong Braking — A Solid Shimano 7100 Pad replacement pad
These pads were a perfect fit for my Shimano 7100 brake calipers. They come with extra hardware, including new spring clips, so you don’t have to reuse the old ones. They don’t have the cooling fins found on the OEM pads, but for most riding you won’t miss them. If you’re doing long, steep descents with heavy braking, then finned pads are worth it for heat management — but for the type of MTB riding I do, they aren’t necessary.After installing these, my brake lever engagement feels just like it did when the bike was new. Braking power matches the OEM pads, and installation was quick and straightforward. The pack includes enough pads to last a long time, so they’re a great value — especially if you go through pads quickly or have friends with compatible brake systems who can share them.

A pair of similar pads near me costs easily 4-8× more than these work out to! If you are also prone to procrastinate till there is no time to wait or it slips your mind when you do thimk of it (yes 😒 – I resemble that remark!) Then this is fantastic! I do not find pads to last as long as they maybe they can or would 🙂 This definitely influenced by rider braking behavior , flat vs hilly, speed and stop & go frequency. They say..”E-bike brake pads typically last between 500 and 1,500 miles, though they can last over 3,000 miles with gentle, flat-terrain amd can less less than 500 miles on steep terrain or off road conditions.”.. 🤣 my experience has been 500- 1000 tops .. to be fair I use this bike off road quite a bit to avoid both PEDI and VEHICULAR traffic , have have spent small fortune on brake pads really…. and its all sand here so this bulk box is brilliant! Comes with hardware needed , tools ( see pic for more on whats in the box & grid pad picture to determine compatibility if your still unsure. This is a great deal for those who ride everday , students, commuters, ebike rentals , families with multiple bikes. Comparable to what I’ve used and paid oodles for. Good quality – I can and do would recommend! I purchased these brake pads for my Shimano Deore 4-piston hydraulic brakes, intending to have a lifetime supply of spares. In essence, they perform as expected. The fit and finish are comparable to the stock Shimano pads, and the trail feel is indistinguishable from the stock sintered pads, making it difficult to discern any difference.The pads bed in relatively quickly, and after that, they are quiet on the trail, assuming they are dry, which can be challenging when riding in the snow. The stopping power matches the original pads that came with my brakes, and they don’t appear to wear out at a faster rate compared to stock pads, resulting in potential cost savings.Additionally, you receive a tire lever, brake caliper alignment aid, and a wrench for backing off caliper bolts, which is a thoughtful inclusion.I have no complaints with these brake pads; for the price, they offer excellent value and are comparable to OEM pads. While they may not feel as robust as more specialized brake pad brands, their cost is significantly lower, making them an ideal choice unless you’re competing in downhill races where your performance directly impacts your earnings.
