It was exactly what I expected. They are great!The “cheap plastic”, as some have mentioned, is just a foundation on which to work from. JUST DON’T OVER TIGHTEN CHEAP PLASTIC.🙂 You can put electrical tape on handle bars that are too narrow, and or get longer screws, or buy a “cheap” hose clamp to hold things in place.The only thing to make it better is if there was either a volume control because when you are close to the child, the loud volume is too loud.However, these are not meant for playing inside your home or garage. We want our grandchildren to be safe. They will definitely be heard and increase the level of awareness that “KIDS ARE AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE, LOOK OUT!”I think they are so loud, even the child will opt not to keep the siren on all the time.😎So if it’s too loud, wear your headset or wear earplugs, for the adult guardian.The loud volume is for someone else, driving in a car that may not see the child. They will definitely hear them.You can’t place a dollar value on child safety.The LED and wiring and controls are worth the dollar value.

My grandsons LOVE these!
I know a lot of people are complaining about the quality of these, but I’m not sure what you expect for the price point. They definitey are cheap plastic, but they work well and my grandsons love them. They are absolutely too loud. In fact they are piercingly loud with no volume control available. I did what another reviewer suggested and filled the speaker cavity with hot glue then put duct tape over top of that. That was an effective fix for the volume issue. It’s still pretty loud, but with those interventions, the volume is now tolerable.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Mounted these on the kids battery operated ride ones and they are a big hit. The kids take turns being the policeman and chase each other around arresting each other or having very long over the river and through the woods chases. The lights are bright and the sound affects are pretty loud. The only thing the kids complain about is that they have to keep pressing the buttons for the sounds as it only blares about 6 seconds, but the parents are quite happy about that part. They’ve had them quite a while now and they are still going strong.

Grandkids love them. Loud but terrific
My grandsons love these and they are an absolutely great gift from a grandparent. Yes, the siren sounds are LOUD but that is what makes these so fun and why our 2 and 6 year olds love them. My daughter’s family lives on a quiet court and although all the neighbours are seniors the commotion from the squealing just makes them smile and engage with the young ones. Love that you can take the 6 year old for bike ride in the local conservation area and you always know where they are on the trail.

Battery cover will not stay on
This is a massive failure. The battery cover does not stay on just handling it, much less attached to a bike. I read the reviews where the sound is way too loud and it is completely obnoxious and cannot be used out on the street for fear of alarming your neighbors. Poor quality all the way around.

Damaged on arrival
Purchased to add visibility and siren to my mobility scooter when navigating crowds (my horn is too quiet) Sounds are loud enough, one of the lights arrived damaged and can’t seem to get a refund for it. I know this one is technically a kids toy but I wish the sound buttons had labels. I was able to mount it pretty easily to the scooter, although it’s not an exact fit, it’s doable. My scooter has a usb port, so it’s not exactly compatible, I had to come back to this listing to figure out what batteries go in it. Cant complain too much though, it’s an inexpensive solution to my problem.

Too loud! Bought them for grandkids and grand nephews! Their parents would have killed me if I had sent these home with them! Kids didn’t like how loud they were either
