    Nice hydraulic brake line tool

    I recently upgraded to the hydraulic brake lines on my road bike. I had never worked with hydraulics on a bike before and let me tell you it did take some time. But in my opinion it is well worth it they are extremely strong and you don’t feel the cable giving a little when you brake. This kid was really nice for the pushing of the internal pipe nipples.After using this tool regularly for about three months, I got the chance to install it in a different setting where the hose routing was a bit tighter and more awkward to work with. The hose cutter still made clean cuts without any fraying or uneven edges, and the needle driver pressed the insert into the hose with the same consistent result I had seen in my own setup. Even in a less ideal workspace with limited leverage and lighting, the tool held the hose steady and let me complete the job without slipping or needing a second pair of hands. It continues to hold up well after multiple uses, with no noticeable wear on the clamping surfaces or threads.

    This tool worked great to cut and barb a Shimano 8120 front and rear brake line. Compact size. Vice end didn’t damage the brake line.

    So glad I got this. Works flawlessly to put in barbs into hydraulic brake hose. Cutter is good too just make sure you measure everything with where you want your lines before you start chopping
