Perfect Cable Crimps for Clean, Pro-Level Bike Builds
Building bikes is a hobby of mine, and I finally decided to upgrade from improvised cable-end crimps to something that looks truly professional. This 2-in-1 cutter and crimper set was exactly what I needed.The crimper produces a clean, tight, factory-looking finish every time. It’s a small detail, but when you’re building a bike with a specific color theme, those cable-end caps really bring the whole build together. The included assortment of colors is a nice touch too.My only suggestion for improvement would be the placement and usability of the built-in cable cutter. I found it a little awkward to use, so I still cut cables with a separate tool. The crimper, though, is excellent.If you want your builds to look sharp and professionally finished, this tool is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend.

The tool lacks precision but will get the job done if you’re patient
The tool lacks precision but will get the job done if you’re patient. The tool is designed well enough, however, the blade for cutting/snipping bike cable is not sharp enough and doesn’t cut through braided bike cable well (I had to use real metal snips to finish the job.)Also, the 3 crimping die are not calibrated to crimp at the same depth on all sides. Crimping once, turning the tool and moving up a cm or two and crimping again will overcome that issue.

This tool works okay. One of the centering pins on mine is uncalibrated and does not crimp the cable end. It should press in on 3 sides, but I only get 2. Had to adjust the internal cam to get all 3 to work.
