It is exactly what it says …
Good quality … nice clear heavy plastic … for a dork disc. One of the few I could find that fits an 11-32 9-speed cassette perfectly. If you are going to use one of these, I would not hesitate to recommend.

Installed and works, despite incorrect ad text on what the product is / what it’s for.
The Bike Spoke Cover (1), better called a “Spoke Protector” / “Dork Disc”, or shortened to “disc”, by Meuey Lyot came yesterday, and I was anxious to install it on my Genesis Villotti, as my old one was both broken, warped and rubbing when the wheel was coasting. That had me slightly concerned it was originally on backwards, or maybe even the wrong one from the factory. However, I ordered (and received) an identical Spoke Protector and after removing the FREEWHEEL on my bike, but maybe a cassette on yours (with a Removal Tool and a crescent wrench or socket wrench), I was careful to try it both ways – and it was obvious which WAY a Spoke Protector would fit – most tightly against the spokes, and also having room for a chain on the biggest cog. And although the center plastic tabs did not snap onto the spokes, wheel or freewheel, once the freewheel was tightly threaded back on, the Spoke Protector does turn w/ the wheel – just like on my other bike that has a Spoke Protector with arms (see pictures of Chain Protectors by Yehveh) that snap onto the spokes. So, although I do not understand exactly why this works, (cannot see it with the FREEWHEEL back on), it does. But Chain Protectors aren’t universal – they do vary, in size and attachment, so it’s best to get the right one – (or if you think it’s safe), to make one fit with about 3-6 small drilled holes and zip ties.If I wanted to improve this product, I’d correct the multiple ad mistakes:1. Title should state, “Bike Spoke Protector”, (not Bike Spoke CoverS), or a 2nd one should be provided.2. As shown in the examples below, ad, including Product Description, currently has 8 instances of wrongly calling the Spoke Protector a “flywheel”- Not sure why, maybe a language translation? A search for “Spoke Protectors” on Amazon will lead to several instances of merchants erroneously calling it a “Flywheel” – but that doesn’t mean it’s accurate or helpful to do so!You do have to take off the FREEWHEEL (on some bikes, or cassette on better ones) to change the Spoke Protector / Cover that guards the SPOKES – which looks like “wires”, but here is no “wire”. And, I suppose the Spoke Protector / Cover protects the CHAIN from potential damage should it come off the FREEWHEEL / CASSETTE. But chains are inexpensive and easy to change by amateur bike riders, while it’s the SPOKES of the back WHEEL and the rear derailleur that are best protected by the Spoke Protector, and so expensive to fix, should it not be in place.3. Actually, a Spoke Protector ultimately protects the most valuable component – the Bike Rider! So, the absence of a Spoke Protector can be a SAFETY issue – as explained by bike expert Seth of Berm Peak Express (1.11M subscribers on Youtube). A misadjusted or bent rear derailleur, or an errant rock or stick can send the chain off the cogs and into the spokes, which can be damaged, as can the (rear) derailleur, which the chain runs through and the hangar, if the bike has one, or the Bicycle FRAME, should the rear derailleur be pulled violently by it. Incorrect ads can also contribute to wrong installations, failed installations, and delayed bicycle repairs.4. There is no “disc brake box”. “Disc brakes” have nothing to do with this product, although they have a similar looking brake DISC on bicycles equipped with them. But this Spoke Protector (or one like it) works on bikes without “Disc Brakes”, (rim brakes, which go by many names).5. And what is a “chain strapper guard”? Ads that wrongly describe the product and how it is used, as this one does, should not be up for sale. They can confuse consumers, lead to product returns, which does not benefit Amazon, the merchant, or the consumer. And products sold online rely heavily on the text in the ad. While a single error in an ad is understandable, the Meuey Lyot ad has multiple different, uncommon errors. A Spoke Protector is itself very simple, and inexpensive to manufacture, BUT it provides an important safeguard. If your chain goes into your spokes (between the wheel spokes and the freewheel or cassette), it can get grabbed and instantly lock up your rear wheel, as it did to me a few days ago. I was lucky, as I happened to be going slow, and I had the tools and knowledge to free the chain and to push it home without more damage to my bike or me. In the end, both before and after the incident, I replaced the chain, rear derailleur, freewheel, and Chain Protector, and did it with parts and tools (Chain Breaker, chain links, Chain Pliers, chain lube, and cleaner) mainly bought through Amazon.Ad states:”1 bicycle flywheel guards sufficient to replace cracked or damaged rotating flywheel guards.””The bicycle guard chain is used to protect the wire in the rear flywheel, and is suitable for the wheel hub of the disc brake box of the mountain bike and the chain protector of the variable speed flywheel.””The chain strapper guard prevents the chain from falling behind the flywheel, reduces sediment on the flywheel, and is easy to install and use.”
