    Fast Spinning Ceramic Pulley Just As Advertised

    Bought as an affordable experiment, to replace my stock Sram pulleys that don’t have any bearings at all. The pulley wheels came as-advertised. They spin super fast which is good but can have some draw-backs. Number one, there is no lubrication on the bearings out of the package. This allows the bearing to spin very fast and free, but is not good for bearing longevity under load (time will tell). Number two, there are no bearing seals, pulley came just as pictured, where the bearings internals are completely unprotected. Again, another great feature to make the bearing spin fast and free, but not good for riding in conditions with dust, water, or debris and longevity. For now I’m giving 3 stars for initial thoughts. I will report back when I have riden on them.

    NOT SEALED BEARINGS

    NOT SEALED BEARINGSToo much play so they’re a bit rattly; not that you’d notice on the bike. They do spin VERY freely. The caps won’t come off for me.I worked a couple drops of Finish Line Ceramic Wet Lube chain lube under the caps which smoothed and quieted them.Thinking of cleaning that out and giving them a hot wax dunk.Nicely machined part. We’ll see how long they last with my abusive shifting.
