    Good to have around

    I picked these up when rebuilding a bike, and was glad to have found a large package of them so I can have some on hand for future jobs. They fit perfectly over standard brake cable housing, with a hole that’s correctly sized for standard brake cable. they are sturdy enough to provide support to the housing end without bending or buckling in normal use. Not much else to say, they feel well built and work as expected, I’m happy with them.

    Maybe you should expect it based on the price per, but the quality is terrible. Cant keep my canti brake cables from killing themselves at all.

    Bicycle brake wire comes unraveled at the end when cut and can be sharp and dangerous. You can slip this end cap over the end and make it safe, alternatively, you could melt solder oner the wire end

    Not much to say about these cable caps. They work and fit right. There are way more than I need in a pack, but that’s not a bad thing.I installed these on the brake and gear cable runs on my old Trek Navigator. They fit perfectly onto the cable and into the guide (as seen in the second photo).I wish everything worked this well and was sized as correctly as this product!

    Cheap junk. But generally useable.

    I’ll preface this by saying they worked out fine for an inexpensive Centurion I was fixing up. I bought these caps for cost a time saving. They are comically thin and crush like tin foil. But once on the cable they do their thing. The weakness would have been acceptable but they are also undersized in length and exterior diameter enough to matter. In a few of the spots along my cable run these shorter caps don’t protect the cable housing from the metal of the cable stops. Won’t buy again but will use on ‘cheap’ bike fixes when applicable and appropriate.
